@@elainewareham2262 elaine, I have read some of Roger Coon's material. Roger Coon has written of mistakes in the Holy Bible! . "The strict verbalist has a problem with Matthew 27:9, 10. Here Matthew does something that every teacher and preacher has done innumerable times. Matthew is probably thinking of one name, but out of his pen mistakenly comes another name. As he applies a Messianic prophecy to Christ--the prediction that He would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver--he attributes the prophecy to Jeremiah. However, in all the book of Jeremiah, there is not one reference to this prophecy. The alert reader will recognize that Matthew actually meant to attribute this prophecy to Zechariah (chap. 11:12, 13)." . I pray he repented for throwing shade on the Holy Bible.

@@earlysda That is interesting. I am finding lately that preachers feel no compunction to say the Bible is wrong on an interpretation of the Word from the Greek or Hebrew. It always feels so jarring when they say it. Maybe there is still a lesson on pride for them to learn. Where does one get the material to read?

These days when all is " Jesus,Jesus ,Jesus" this text teaches that it is our Father to whom all honour is due . " the holy spirit" is the presence and power of our Father . When in the future people choose to not follow the message presented by the 144,000 despite it being confirmed by signs and wonders from our Father then this is what it will be to blaspheme the holy spirit ,for those signs and wonders come directly from our Father . Satan will not be allowed to perform miracles until the sixth vile is poured out . Hebrews 9 is worth reading carefully ,Paul was self deceived as he thought the signs and wonders validated right relationship to our Father , reality was they were our Father's way of bringing attention to the incarnation of His Son . Because it is in the bible does not mean it is good for instruction .Only those things inspired of God are good for instruction . In Hebrews 9 Paul is dismissive of the sacrificial system ( given to Moses by God ) . Jesus councilled us that we must hear Moses and the prophets .

Apostle Paul said that he died daily. So I repent and pray for others daily. Then I thank God and claim grace. It's a great start to my day, every day. That's how I start then I pray for other concerns, but thanksgiving is the most important. Try it. Ellen White and Seventh Adventists believe that all Christians will be in heaven. We are all privy to grace by Jesus Christ's sacrifice and resurrection for us. The last 10 minutes of the talk had great relevance; prior to that too many stories, not enough "meat". The end time scenario will repeat the conditions at Jesus' first coming. We have far more to fear from WITHIN than from without. Another way to describe this is "remnant within a remnant", whether Mr Coon likes it or not.

The word "trinity" is not biblical, and not good that we SDAs adopted that term. However, the Godhead is biblical, and that is generally what most SDAs have in mind when they use the term today.
