You can tell Corman is just enjoying being there and recounting the milestones in his career. It's great when Conan has such prolific guests who aren't modern actors trying to promote a new film. I could listen to Corman and Conan go on for hours.

I love how directors like Corman and Cronenberg seem like such normal people but their movies can be so grotesque

Roger Corman is really bossy because he works on minimal budget, he always wants to get the absolute best out of everything he gets involved with no matter how cheap it is, but he is an amazing down to earth person on a spiritual level, dare I say to the point of being sympathetic to everyone he works with if you will, just not outspoken and very stubborn and strict. However if there was a scale for creativity his would rank on the level of insanity for sure, the man is a basically a walking film studio.

Corman's great. If you guys haven't watched it, see the documentary Corman's World. It's a great piece on how Corman changed the industry, gave a lot of people their start, and the state of the industry when he was making a lot of his movies.

***** He was great at what he did. He made movies for a specific audience cheap and quick. He was an innovator in finding ways to do cheap productions.

Conan should have more guests like this...you could literally hang onto every word he says. And he's not putting on an act to try and appear 'funny' or 'cool' or whatever like half the guests these days. Love Roger Corman!

The movies Roger made were when people went to see movies all the time so people weren't looking for blockbusters every time. (These movies often played two at a time, preceded by newsreels, cartoons, comedy shorts and even commercials.) A great title and a kewl movie poster got you 80% of the way home.

Outstanding. Always been a fan of Roger Corman and his ridiculously fun movies, but until I watched this (the first time i've seen him speak, as a fan an embarrassing thing to admit), I never knew what erudite and well-spoken individual he is. Smart, quick, kind, and witty. And full of a million fun stories. Always been a fan of Conan as well, so he needs to get Corman on his next show, and aside from commercials, just talk with him for 45 minutes.
