Federer def brought his game face that time. Canas still has a remarkable ability to get his racket on any shot, and Federer was unable to put away his smashes the previous two times when he lost. Canas is one homely bastard

For people that do not know the story. Around the first quarter of 2007 Federer was ill and during that period he appeared human and was badly beaten by Canas in the first round of IW, the man in the video. That loss was very significant as it ended the longest hard court match winning streak in tennis history, as detailed here - www.cnn.com/2007/SPORT/03/12/paclife.men/index.html as luck would have it, they met again weeks later in Miami and Federer lost in 3 sets. Two losses in a row? This is clearly not a coincidence! This got people talking about Canas and how he must be this amazing player. The reality of the situation is that Federer was ill (verified) and did not use this as an excuse. After recovering from mono, Federer regained his form and defended his US Open title. In October of the same year, a healthy and rested Federer met Canas in the Madrid round of 16 and as you see in the video here, unleashed his anger and absolutely embarrassed Canas. Federer eventually lost in the finals to Nalbandian. In May 2008 @Rome, Federer once again played Canas for what would be their very last meeting. Federer once again put on a master class and utterly destroyed Canas.

Go Cañas!. He beat federer twice in two weeks. Federer had a 41 match streak, only 5 to the record and Cañas stopped him in the first round ( second time since Federer was top 1 that he lost in first round ). And in the next week he won again against federer...When Federer was in his top form. Almost nobody could beat Federer, and Cañas did it twice in two weeks. Sure, Cañas wasn't the best player in the world...But he is in the history of tennis and in the hearth of Argentina.

it was more of a masking substance for other steroids with no benefits of itself, and they didnt' find anything else in the sample. +he was cleared of any wrongdoing and all of his prize money restored, but his ranking points expired. and he made the biggest rankings jump ever during the time he beat federer and all in Miami. i still don't like him very much, but there is no denying he was dealt a bad hand and the situation (all doping in tennis really) was handled really badly by the ATP.
