So Roger can sing, play guitar, play drums and write lyrics that hit me right in the heart? What a legend

How can a song be so sad and beautiful at the same time?
@jenniferstine85678 жыл бұрын
Only Roger could write a song about domestic violence and have it be amazing. DV emotional scars last a lifetime. Even after a person is safe, the memories can continue to do harm. Don't belittle their phobias no matter how strange or irrational. It's no different than belittling their experience. Telling them to get over it also belittles their experience. You can get over a cold, but a person's past is permanent. Tell them they can and will get through it.

This! Even at almost 30 years old, I'm still battling the demons of my past left over from growing up in a toxic home (with a disability so there's another reason.)

It was clear in the interview that he still didn’t get over that experience. Poor Roger, he really didn’t deserve that
I still don't understand, how man can write a song about this horrible and also important topic so sensitive and accurately like Roger did it here. Unbelievable. My hats of! Beautiful and sad song with hope! Wonderful!

Same cycle happen every day Same characters same play My game plan's become clear Gotta find a way out of here There ain't no place to run No welcome mat in my home No love here, no life He want a punchbag, not a wife You can't hurt me now You can't hurt me now You can't hurt me now, I'm gone from you You can't hurt me now You can't hurt me now You can't reach me where I've gone to I surrender I surrender No hope left, just pain Whiskey on his breath, violence in his brain Scared kids, with scarred minds Surrender reason, love is blind Surrender life, surrender love Surrender belief in God above Surrender hope, bow down to fear Surrender life, there ain't much here You can't hurt me now You can't hurt me now You can't... ✊🏼💜

I would love to read his biography 🙂♥️🎼☀️ Roger Taylor has a rich soul, loaded with all emotions and experiences, as a musician, as a handsome and famous young man with magnet on beautiful girls, as a husband, as a father ...

Great song. My wife had an abusive parent. Even though she was not living with him for years the threat of him alive in the same town she still lived i fear. He died and said all her fears went away the moment he died.

I saw Roger Taylor during his tour of the 'Electric Fire' album. The other vocalist in this song, Treena Morris, was the support act. She was one of the finest singers I've ever heard. It shows that fame isn't just for the talented. She's completely unknown yet sings better than almost any other singer around today.

This song is so incredibly beautiful. I listen to it daily. Just have to be careful of which kids are with me when I do! 😳. For the 13-yr old, it’s a good conversation to have. For the 6-yr old? I just have to say, “Isn’t this pretty?” and hope they don’t start asking about the lyrics... or repeating them! 😝

Roger … are You my friend who used to live in Germantown, Ohio … and moved away in 1947 , when Your father ; Clay Taylor moved to Arizona , to heal from an eye injury caused by metal turnings from a metal shop lathe ? Prayed for You, and Your Family all these Years … Do You have The LORD Jesus , PERMANENTLY in Your heart ? If You are text or e- mail … ok
