My Fiance and I did everything you mentioned, even build a house in last 3 years waiting, my biggest issue was to "TRUST" her....I had valid reasons why but over time our love was strong enough to work out issues and I was very forgiving... Me and my filipina talk twice a day. And video chat everyday. I will be visiting next summer and plan on moving there not long after. Just waiting on my passport and already planning on the move. I learned communication is key as well as patience. Lots of patience.

Our first year during the pandemic. 2020 we talked for a entire year 365DAYS non stop, after the pandemic i met my father in law [rip pops,,we miss u dearly]he gave us his blessings, sadly. Good job guys. Very good points. I think trust in any relationship is the most important thing. And that can be difficult, but not impossible in a LDR. Communication is probably the second most important. Keep up the good work.

Totally agree. It’s easy to enter into a relationship but the question is how long can they preserve it? Without trust and open communication, relationship cannot sustain let alone an LDR.

I Would say if your not Financially able to Travel 2 Times a year to see each other it probably not worth it..LDR that go 18 - 24 Months with out seeing each other is too hard..

Buying a house in the Philippines isn't really a good idea imo, especially if you're doing it to prove something. In fact even if you're planning on living there. Renting is really cheap and it gives you the flexibility to move to a better locations, price points and upgrade the place. Gives you both the chance to experience different provinces, cities or towns. I have a three bdrm house on seven acres & stream, in a great location. Paid for. So we can go to the Philippines for a month or six months if we want to affordably. Advantages are many.

Long distance relationship are like treading on dangerous grounds. If even couples are together there are ample opportunities for couples to stray. What then LDR? You never know what your partners are doing between the calls.

Yes, it can be risky. But it can happen in local relationships also. If I am dating someone locally, I'm not seeing her 24/7. She could be flirting with or dating other guys at the same time, either online or in the area. Even living together, married or unmarried, we still don't see each other 24/7. Any relationship has to start with some level of trust, and that's always a risk. This is why it's important to communicate always, and keep an eye out for red flags.

My Pinay has our schedule down, if I get up early she will ask why and sometimes she can't sleep, my goal is come to Cebu and visit within a year, she wants to come here for a few years Ive heard other say don't focus on 1 Filipina play the field, I can't I need a solid foundation and she has it all in 1 small package that I want forever and a day

Great topic and content. I am sure this really touched home with alot of foreigners who have Pinay girlfriends there. I am sure they appreciate the video. Now me on the other hand, LDR is hard for me. I work alot and my time is consumed with working and sleeping. That is the only reason I can not do a LDR at this time. Within 1 month we've exchanged hundreds of mails in our LDR and I'm already looking at engagement rings for when I visit in 2 months. I found her on a dating site video and it was love at first sight. When she replied to my opening mail gambit I could not believe my fortune. I think she deserves better than I, but she disagrees and wants me even though I'm 30 years older than her. Be very very careful my friend if you can’t do video calls, I know she may be gorgeous and I know you think she’s different but this is the exact playbook off scammers, video calls are a MUST, if she can’t then I’m sorry mate but this doesn’t bode well my friend. Lots off scammers out there doing this for a living and the number one red flag is when they say they can’t do video calls.

no ldr is serious. if you want a serious relationship, that requires in person and often. not a video call or text, not 1-2 weeks a year, but 3+times meeting in person a week for a year.

With those long hours working, travel time, etc. She is ready to collapse. Start your conversation with affirmations of caring and finish the same way. If it still bothers you, you have 2 choices.
