Why!? These are awesome and work great and why not have a look of a Lenco tranny?? I tossed my Hurst quarter stick out and got me one of these. And it works flawlessly in an 8sec truck

Because on a regular 123 they dont have gear lockouts. So you accidentally bump from first to 3rd. Now then most aftermarket stick like pro stick have a lever press to get into 3rd and if its 4 speed 4th gear also and to get it in and out of neutral. which takes time. This eliminates the chance of over shooting the gear and the dumb 3rd gear lockout and neutral lockout. So yes it serves a better purpose. .
