LS3/5a: singer sounds much more real to me plus beautiful guitar and piano. P3ES: more air, tighter bass, more hifi. Mind you, I bought LS3/5a so I'm biased!

The Harbeths got my attention initially, but it was the LS3/5A that I ultimately fell in love with. They sound more realistic and have a subtlety which made the musical performance more absorbing and engaging for me.

I'll just double up on what 'msee" commented. The Harbeth's balance is nice, and it's detail res. is noticably better than most speakers, but to me the Roger's LS3's equally great resolution, sweeter mids and more organic sounding treble adds to their musicality.

Both are very nice. Rodgers are a bit warmer, I'd choose them. but I'd take either.

Thank you for interesting comparison, im using KEF 3/5a over 20 years old. 3/5a was designed from analog audio. P3esr XD is beter . but 3/5a is never tired (good for easy listening )

Harbeth has a wider soundstage seemingly sounds brighter whereas the Rogers is more in control with more detail to my ears

Harbeth are more neutral, transparent, piano sounds amazing. Rogers are warmer, perhaps more pleasant for easy listening.

Did you listen carefully? There is so much more voice details with P3ESR XD. You can hear every breath of the artist. With Rogers it is veiled.

Just like the 5/9 comparison in the other video, The Rogers once again hv a more expressive & liquid midrange. The Harbeth sounds a tad dry here.

เหมือน 3/5 ถูกบูสความถี่แถว 7-10kHz ทำให้เสียง Snare ฟังดีกว่า รวมถึงเสียงกีตาร์ด้วย แต่แลกมาด้วยเสียงร้องที่สว่างเกินจริง ส่วน Harbeth เสียงร้องเป็นธรรมชาติ แสดงว่าคุมโทนย่านดังกล่าวได้ดีกว่า แต่เสียงกีตาร์ขาดความบาดหูไปนิดเลยขาดเสน่ห์ของกีตาร์ไป ส่วนเสียงเปียโน ผมยกให้ Harbeth ครับ ไม่แน่ใจว่าคน mix ต้องการให้เสียงออกมาแนวไหนเลยตัดสินยากว่าใครเที่ยงตรงกว่าครับ เพราะการบูสความถี่ดังกล่าวอาจมาจากคนอัดจงใจก็ได้ครับเพราะไมโครโฟนโดยมากจะยกความถี่แถวนั้นขึ้นอยู่แล้ว ด้านเบสเหมือนจะยกเบสต้นทั้งคู่แต่ฟังดูดีครับ ชดเชยเบสที่ลงได้ไม่ลึกพอดีๆ ถ้าฟังเทียบกันจริงๆ อาจให้ผลต่างไป ผมเคยมี 3/5a รุ่นที่ยังเป็นไดรเวร์ KEF จำเสียงตอนนั้นไม่ได้แล้วเพราะนานมากแล้วครับ

The Harbeth loudspeakers will play louder and are more forward, but the LS3/5a shines when you listen at moderate levels especially to the human voice. Few speakers can achieve the overall musicality of the little BBC Monitor. If you have a large room or play your music loud then the Harbeth is you better choice! I bought a pair of Chinese LS3/5a “clones” while they are very good they just miss on the human voice, depth and soundstage! I think the Chinese version can be improved with a better high frequency drive like the original T-27 KEF driver with the metal cover! There’s great potential here in both sound and price. The Chinese cabinetry is top notch and construction and attention to detail excellent. The last price I’ve seen was $650/pair. That price is really a bargain these days when LS3/5a’s are $1300/ pair and the Harbeth is about the same. I imported Chartwell LS3/5a’s and Spendors in the late 70’s. When they cost me $350.00/pair in teak.

Thank you. I bought a pair of the Mavin stands for my Harbeth 30.2 XDs. These are the best looking and best sounding stands on the market. Take it from someone who has tried pretty much every pair stands out there. The tone, attack and leading edge definition of the solid rosewood… spell binding.

I don’t have a close to wall setup for my speakers and my floor is suspended hardwood. Am I likely to get satisfactory bass performance from these speakers. I place the speakers about 1.8 metre apart

comments like this make me laugh. The difference was subtle and imo the harbeth sounded better.If you are hearing a fuller tone on the basis of this video from the rogers than i am truly surprised. The Harbeth sounds clearly more fuller and the music sounds easier on the ear. The rogers sounds a little confused and bright. The rogers look far sexier though so i'm bummed the ugly harbeths sound better.
