I was blessed to be the nurse at Rogers Elementary School from 2006 to 2009. Absolutely wonderful students and families, teachers and staff. 😊♥️❗

Went to school here from Kindergarten right up until it closed after my 4th grade year. So cool to finally see the upstairs.

Those speaking tubes in the caretaker's apartment are definitely vintage 1880's. I recently started following a youtuber who is restoring an 1889 mansion in St Louis and he has one of those, but his is not as complete as those in the caretaker's apartment. I found out that the metal flap you were toggling has a hole in the middle of it (you can clearly see the little whole in each of the tubes in your video). If you needed to call someone, the speaker on the other end would open the flap and blow into the tube. The tiny hole in that plate would then whistle so you knew someone was calling. You can then open your flap and talk to one another. Pretty neat, and thanks for the tour!

That was amazing, went to school there for 4-6th grade. So many memories thanks for that tour; if I were not 3 hours away I would hop in my car and come for the live tour. Thank you for doing this.

I went here in the 2000s. Are they doing any other tours? I would love to see it in person one last time.
