@@AMEER-114- He who winneth souls is wise. There is no way a comment like this is of a heart that wishes to win souls, nor is your message & delivery going to bear fruit- in fact, you easily give Christians & the gospel a black-eye. In other words, you're an @ s s hole. Bible says to mourn with those who mourn, not condemn their lost loved one- who, by the way, you have no way of knowing the state of his soul. Bible says not to judge, & the context is exactly the kind of judgment you are pronouncing- not the way the world loves to use that verse.... but it is 100% appropriate for you- you are condemning a man you know nothing about. Shame on you. Best thing it seems you can do to witness is to keep your mouth shut, because if you're not winning souls & being wise- you're losing them, like a fool.

I have the CD, still remember about QSound, and I quote “To hear the QSoundTM effect you must be positioned centrally between the two speakers. If the dog barking at the beginning of the record doesn’t sound like he’s in the yard next door then your speakers are out of phase.” By Gods grace, hopefully, I leave back the CD collection for my son to understand how meaningful music was in the last century.

Waters and Gilmour worked well together as they both did what the other couldn't do. Waters is no musician but he is an amazing lyric writter and Inventer of musical concepts e.g who'd think of building a wall between the band and the audience where as Gilmour by his own admission struggles with lyric writting but is an amazing musician and to my ears has a slightly better singing voice but not by much.

I think once you become a real fan of Pink Floyd it becomes apparent that the real Floyd existed between 1969 and 1973. By Wish You Were Here they were already fragmented and Animals was brilliant but not representative of a true band. The Wall and Final Cut were Waters solo stuff in all but name as was AMLOR to Gilmour. Imagine they had stopped at Animals???? They’d be even more legendary than they are now.
@lapelcelery423 жыл бұрын
@@Fcutdlady I'm totally with you on almost everything, except "Waters is no musician". He wrote a huge amount of the Floyd canon on his own, and played bass (though Gilmour played on a lot of the Wall, and a couple of other songs), and synthesiser on almost every track during the 70s, as well as electric and acoustic on a few more. He's certainly not a soloist, but his additions make a huge difference - a massive part of the raw sound of Animals comes from his electric rhythm guitar on Sheep and Pigs for example (particularly noticeable as it's not there on Dogs). He ay not be the virtuosic musician that Rick or Davis were in the band at the time, but few are, and his contributions are vastly undervalued in their shadow.

There's something in the air And you don't know what it is You see someone through the window Who you've just learned to miss And the road leads on to glory But you used up your last wish Your last wish And you want her to come home... home Bring her home... Genie said "I'm sorry That's the way it goes Where the hell l'lamp, suckah It's time for me to go! Byehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" There's something in the air And you don't know what it is You see someone through the window Who you've just learned to miss And the road leads on to glory But you've used up your last wish Your last wish And you want her to come home...home

The intro for this song on the album version has some poignant words spoken softly by a woman-adding that extra emotional dimension that Roger is sooooo good at. Really love the coda too

He was a great actor.. reminds me of an X-Files episode (second season) where he played the role of a wiseman, Who predicted Scully’s death, killed by a waiter.. in the end he was killed instead of her.. One of the best episodes of the 90s most important TV shows

@@johnnykaszubski2199 Yep. Life had a better "flavor" back then and people weren't as polarized. Of course, folks before me have said these same things as well. One day it'll be your turn.

Always loved this video. Very nicely put along the music. The album deserves so much more attention. A world tour perhaps with Jeff Beck? Roger is a slow kisser :)
