The Rogue AM-2 Adjustable Monolift 2.0 is an example of Rogue Fitness at the peak of their game. Here's why...
✅ Rogue Adjustable Monolift 2.0 - garagegymreviews.co/RogueMono...
As far as I'm aware, Rogue Fitness was the first company to bring a pair of adjustable monolifts to market. There had been some DIY options and guys like Mech6 creating versions, but the originals were from Rogue. Since then, many have created their own models, and for good reason.
A monolift is bulky and overpriced for most home gyms, but rack-mounted adjustable monolifts bring a lower function-level version of the idea to a power rack.
After using nearly all of the adjustable monolifts on the market, those from Titan Fitness, Rep Fitness, and others as well as the original versions from Rogue, I can confidently say that the AM-2 Monolifts are the best on the market, price not c

As probably the only reviewer with multiple brands of racks, it'd be great if Coop would show more cross brand fitment. How well does this fit on a REP, Titan or Sorinex rack? Does it get too loose or too tight because some of those a metric? Any weirdness with Sorinex because their holes on the sides aren't off set? That kind of thing

Been using the 2.0 for a week now and love it! Being able to easily slide up/down the rack with one hand is key. Also can squat inside my rack with the arms easily. awesome engineering. Love the more compact design. I also like the way it secures to the rack using one pin. I have a REP rack (PR5000) and the older model of the Rogue monolift. While it is compatible with the REP rack, the lower pin hole doesn't align properly because REP uses metric measurements and Rogue uses freedom units. It's still usable but could be more secure. This new model is tempting me lol.

Great review but I'm sorry, the half moon hole idea is not as robust as putting a second hole 3 inches below the upper hole. Since the hole spacing on the upright is 2 inches, having the second hole at 3 inches would allow you to alternate the pin between the upper and lower holes, giving the 1 inch movement with a lot of steel between the two holes.

They could also accomplish the same 1 inch rack placement offset from the existing hole by placing another hole 3 inches below it. That would have less of an impact on the strength / capacity than making a combo hole and still allow for 1 inch increments.

I think the weight savings is a moot point. With the Rogue, you have to one hand the monolift since you have to hold the pin in your other hand. With the Rep, you can use both hands to hold and maneuver the it since it is more of a standard jcup interface. So 26lbs in one hand, vs 36lbs in two hands.
@Xplora213
@Xplora213 2 жыл бұрын
It’s a massive pain in an R-3 to manoeuvre each arm even with two arms for squats. You have to hold them quite high, it’s basically impossible for the average lady to do it because your arms have zero mechanical advantage above your head height and stretching out. Sliding up and down like the 50 Cal trolley is much much less fiddling as well, rotating the arm for the security pin is the real challenge.
@johnf419

Haven’t noticed centring being an issue even with heavy bands and wonky shoulders. You have to rerack the bar yourself with these, unlike a true monolift, so you can adjust the position on the way in. Maybe I’ll change my mind on this but it hasn’t seemed like an issue to me and it’s a potential issue for me given imbalances.

On the previous gen, it’s kinda tight with no walk out. I don’t see a lot of difference in swing distance between the the two. Ultimately I put mine on my bench as it seems more helpful there. @@Bottom3Percenter Looks like other reviewers came and apparently the clearance is worst than the original. It is kind of shame coop didn't address this. I don't want to say he is rogue shill but it is what it is.

Still noisy as hell? My Rogue monolift 1.0 makes a Big Bang, if you need to stay quiet in an apartment it’s really loud, for the price there should be some rubber to soften the noise. Rerack doesn’t have to be noisy!!

It might be a bit wobbly on it. Their uprights are slightly smaller than the Rogue 3x3.

@@GarageGymReviews does this version provide more clearance for squats that the older versions? That was Coop’s main critique, I believe.

I would not buy this if I do not have a Monster series rack. The new monolifts uses the holes on the side of the uprights and those are very far and few. Look for the old version instead if you do not have a Monster series rack.

I’ll never own these but I was honestly expecting $500 minimum. Rep fitness sells theirs for $309 so why not spend the 80-90 extra for a better product

@@ThatWasRage looks like it’s about $40 to California. So I guess it comes out to about $130 more expensive than rep.
