Rogue Legacy 2 World Record Speedrun; April 27th (

On April 27th, on my final run of the day, I managed to beat MindfulLine's 29:57, by surpassing my own personal best by over 2 minutes.

Apparently this has shown up in youtube recommendations for people now, so I wanted to explain something: This video was made over a year ago. The game was not fully released. If you're wondering why I don't get to the end of the game, it because this was as far as the game got by April 27th, 2021. I was so confused how one could defeat the final boss in 30 minutes from the start of the game, now it makes sense.

i havent even gotten to the 2nd boss and im lvl 74. Im playing pretty slowly and exploring a lot tho

It’s not difficult. I’ve beaten the game in under 20 minutes hitless several times.

This run made me feel better and worse about my skills. Better because I still run into enemies and stupid shit happens when I rush. Worse because you're like 58 times better than me.

damn mad skills...I am really aweful at platformers and still struggling to beat the first boss, but I already get 3 or 4 heirlooms XD somehow I am too dumb to avoid the lava balls, maybe I should grow them myself to be better :)

For the "lava ball" attack from the first boss, you should go under him when he jumps, and be behind him during the attack. There's a lot of space behind him between the first and second ball you need to avoid. If you're still having trouble, know that the Valkyrie's deflect talent can destroy all every projectile that boss has except for the fire from the sword and the massive laserbeam. Since you can get that class early, it can be very helpful.

I pinned a message since you're far from the only person who has asked this. This run was done April 27th, 2021, a full year before the game was released from early access. This was the end of the game at that point.

This video was from April 27th of 2021, a full year before the full-release of the game. Several of the bosses were not out yet.

I... Had no idea my computer fan had gotten loud enough for the mic to pick it up. I always have it next to me, so it's just white-noise, and nobody else had told me. Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be capable of fixing it for some time. I will make that a greater priority though.
