If I wanted to do this but with a forge world character, what would you recommend in place of the fortress world talents? I chose the option that increases crit chance and every sniper build I see is about fortress world. Am I better off ditching the sniper idea?

Due to companion buffs you auto crit anyway. That will be why you don't see forge world. If you want to do it for roleplay change what you want

When you say that this build actually has to engage with the game mechanics, what do you mean? :D As in it's not so overpowered that you can just spam the same button and everything dies?

As in snipers are squishy with low damage and attack economy so have to think whereas every other class in the game laughs avoiding or ignoring all damage then one shots everything in a single turn even on max sliders

@kaylenjoyer you can still win the game with them but they are painfully weaker than everything else. Not meltas bad but still lackluster

@@Revan619 Is it because it doesn't gel well with psyker? Noticed most of the builds you shared make use of psyker powers (Pyromancy mostly, but not only)
