There was 82,000 at Wacken 2013. I was there. It was an experience that ive never felt before. Ive seen Nightwish 4 times with Tarja, Anette and twice with Floor. Floor is the Queen. Floor is the Valykrie, Shes the Celtic Boudiccea. Can imagine her in a horsedrawn chariot leading the troops. She leads every performance commanding the stage. I never felt that with Tarja or Anette.

@@Roguenjosh Consider the fact that she wasn't even confirmed as full-time at this point. It makes her performance even more incredible. She blew EVERYONE away. She sang like her career was depending on it. This is basically Nightwish condensed into a song. Floor's a charisma machine. Not since Freddie Mercury at Live Aid (I was a 17 year old watching it on TV) have I seen a lead singer have an audience at her beck and call. They were in the palm of her hand, and she wasn't letting go until SHE was ready! I urge you to play the audio version of the live album and tell me it is not the best live performance you have witnessed. 👍

"Ghost River", "Song of Myself", "Romanticide" are heavier ones in Wacken 2013. "Ever Dream" (Official Live) Wacken 2013 is not as heavy, but heavy enough for me, I love that song, it's beautiful and powerful. Floor and Marko together on vocals. They complement each other amazingly! One of the best things in Nightwish! On GLS and Storytime no male vocals. Can't stress enough how important part of Nightwish Marko 's vocals are. He also has a big vocal role on those 3 heavier ones I mentioned.

This actually was the first Nightwish song I ever heard! My brother and I were alone in our church building, making plans to leave the state and our lives there behind. After hearing about thirty seconds of this video, I hooked my phone up to the sound system, started the song over, and cranked up the volume. Afterwards, my brother said, "This is the kind of music dreams are made of." I have no doubt we found it all the more inspiring because we knew we were headed to a better place and a better life. We've been in love with them ever since. Being introduced to them via Imaginerium was a real privilege. We got to hear some of their best music (IMO) performed by the best singer (Floor) by watching the live videos, and then we got to dive back into the Tarja and Annette eras knowing it would only get better.

Was there, Germany 2013. Drove 4 hours after work to get there barely in time and payed the ticket for the entire festival just for this gig. It was worth it. By far the best live performance I ever saw. Although every Nightwish gig has this energy...

Nightwish Chicago Brigade checking in. Great reaction. You can see how much fun they had playing together and it shows in their music. Its not stretch of the imagination to say that Floor helped to heal the band and make them whole. Its wonderful to see people enjoy their music for the first time. I had heard about Nightwish as much as 15 years ago from some Euro friends, but for some stupid reason I never checked them out. With the Covid lockdown, I had all the time to see what I had missed, and boy, was I a damn fool for not listening to my English friends so long ago. They are like a great high, with no bad side effects!

They have 4 professionally recorded and released full concerts with Floor. There are other concerts as well but these 4 are the high quality one's that Nightwish has made releases of. Wacken 2013, Tampere 2015, Wembley 2015 and Buenos Aires 2018.

When you're new to Nightwish and start watching the live videos, a strange thing happens: you find yourself saying "this is my favorite Nightwish song so far" five videos in a row. Wacken 2013 is really the live Nightwish touchstone. My suggestions for next video are both from Wacken, so feel free to ignore me, everybody does. One you can't miss is "Dark Chest Of Wonders", the concert opener. As you can imagine, with a show they were filming in front of an audience that large, they opened HARD. For something a little softer (chuckles to himself), "Ever Dream" is just stunning. It's even more of what you like so much about "Storytime". Live is definitely the way to go with Nightwish. That interaction between the band members and the band and the crowd brings in an extra element that is the reason their fans are legion.

The live shows which I mentioned were all turned into DVD’s and Live Albums. They all feature Floor and have the best audio and video quality.

Good, honest review. Glad that you really liked this one. "Ghost Love Score" is the chance to showcase the gee-wow of Floor's vocals for newbies, but not their most broadly appealing song. If you liked the feel of this song, gotta do "Romaticide", if you haven't already. Also, "Everdream".

Terrific reaction! I think "Storytime" is probably the best Nightwish song for brand new listeners to experience as their first foray into the band. It showcases their collective skill and range of styles. "Ghost Love Score" seems to be the video a lot of reacters start with and, while awesome, it's not what one would call a "standard" NW song (if there is such a thing). It's considered one of their big three set pieces, along with "Poet and the Pendulum" and "Greatest Show on Earth". Anyway, I enjoyed your reaction. You may want to watch "Seven Days to the Wolves" at Wembley. I think you'd like it.

I've enjoyed your Nightwish journey so far. If you like this sound I know several have listed a ton that are all great I think. I would lean toward "Romanticide", "Yours is an Empty Hope", and "Ghost River", but I don't think you can really go wrong with Nightwish. I also am glad I discovered this channel from your Nightwish reacts stuff. I've never had the capability to see one of my favorite bands when I was in High School Silverchair so I started listening to some of those albums again. I was lucky to have been able to see Nightwish when they performed in TX, and it was the second or third show with Floor filling in before she was a formal member.

You will have to watch "The greatest show on earth" live at Tampere. It's long, but it is my tour de force of Nightwish live- especially if you get the video with lyrics. The performance is a story telling you will likely love.

I LOVE Storytime and Romanticide. I remembered the first time I watched GLS I thought it was super awesome, but I really fell for NW with these two songs. I also recommend you "Planet Hell", that’s a song that sounds amazing with either the three singers. Also maybe you would like “I wish I had an angel”

Wembley Arena live has great energy too as has live in Buenos Aires. I'd recommend "Your's is an empty hope' at Wembley, "Shudder before the Beautiful ' at Wembley (opening number) 'Dark Chest of Wonder' at Wacken, 'Song of myself', 'Slaying the Dreamer' , 'Alpenglow' and a beautiful ethereal number called 'Dead Boy's Poem' at Buenos Aires' - great reaction and good luck 👍

I think you'll like 'Romanticide' it's up-tempo like this one but I also love 'Storytime' it's the one I heard first from this concert. The estimated attendance was 82,000 crazy NW fans god I wish I had been there!!

This is 100% the song I WISH the "Nightwish Army" would recommend first as a reaction. I feel like it's way more accessible to anyone who appreciates a little rock or metal. Ghost Love Score is good for folks who don't normally like the style of music and would appreciate the artistry. Depends on the person, but Storytime is a the way to go. The Buenos Aires and Tampere concerts are both very high quality recordings as well, up there with Wacken IMO. Wembley is a little behind. You'll probably love Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean (Buenos Aires), Romanticide (Wacken), Ghost River, Song of Myself, Yours is an Empty Hope

Check them out doing Dark Chest of Wonders at the same show.. first song of the show.. 1000% energy and light show and probably the most "Metal" song of the show

I do think Wacken is their best live show and I cannot stop listening to this one. If I'm not mistaking it was Floors first live show? Or definitely first tour.
