Ojuelegba is an area where he started his music career, and he was sharing his struggle story. But, the name of the area, Ojuelegba means "the center of Elegba." You are 100% correct, Elegba is a Yoruba deity. Some people, mostly South Americans, pronounce it as Elegua. I guess they worship Elegba deity in the area many years ago, and that's why they name the place, the center of Elegba (Ojuelegba)

Ojuelegba is the name of the suburb he grew up in Lagos. The song is a reminiscence of his humble beginning. BTW he was already a super star when he sang that song and had the likes of Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Drake, Beyonce et al really jiving to it. Basically the song is about Hope and Gratitude. ❤

The way I understood it this is the story of his life? I heard him say that in the song I think but it wasn't easy to understand, so you might have missed that and how people pray for blessings for a better life? As you rightly said Ojuelegba is in reference to the Yoruba pantheon Elegba. Ojuelegba is a T junction where “Esu elegba” is venerated. It’s a major commercial centre in the Mainland of Lagos. He grew up in that area.

Ojú Ẹlẹgba literally means "the eye of the whip holder". However you are dead right that it refers to the Ẹlẹ̀gba deity. Ẹlẹ̀gba diety is at times depicted to wield the whip - as a diety of the enforcement of karma or justice and stands at the "junctions" of the journey of life showing the wrong direction and what's right with it and the right direction and what's wrong with it. The place Ojú Ẹlẹgba in Lagos is actually a big intersection in Lagos.

Incidentally we don't have a "Devil" or "Satan" in Yorùbá belief system (even Èṣù is not that - Èṣù and Ẹlẹ̀gba are more or less interchangeable, but in different roles). The God (Elédùmarè) given human mind and consciousness is a very powerful thing indeed.
