This is my review of MTV Hustle 03's 8th Week. This was a relatively smaller episode with just 7 competitive performance. Collaboration week saw interesting pairs bringing out tight performances Gaush and Shen took the cake, Uday and Bassick had a bar fest ready for all of us. All of this and more in today's episode

Vijay dada is deserving for me,even as a big big fan of lyrical hip-hop barfest and complex lyricism,vijay dada has been the epitome of gully rap for this season and consistently has given some terrific performances with much better stage performance than gaush and uday.If I am not wrong he has got full 9 buzzers for like 4 consecutive episodes just like square last season.Definitely I want gaush uday and bassick in final and I hope they will at least two of them for sure,but hip-hop is not only about lyrics so it would be unfair that whoever will do a little complex lyricism he will be in final,rest other rappers with different zone can't be considered.Vijay dada has absolutely nailed it in his zone.For me he's the proper representation of gully rapper what I wanted from these wannabe gully rappers who just does gang stuff,fake police arrest etc wannabe stuffs to show them as gully rapper.

For me, this week was more like a lip sync battle. I have a strong suspicion that the tracks below were pre-recorded: 1. EPR-Mrunal (I love both of them but their singing was TOO perfect for the amount of jumping around they did.) 2. Grav's performance (Honestly, this sounded exactly like the previous season's performance. There is one part where Grav whispers 'I'm way better' and someone shouts it with him. I think it was King. I could hear it in this week's performance too but maybe I'm delusional.) 3. Dino-GD47 song 4. All brand songs (this was also mentioned by Rohan) I have nothing against any of these except number 4. Because they decided squad of the week based on the brand songs and it didn't seem fair that they literally judged pre-recorded songs for that. PS: I also think the screams by Shen B aren't authentic either.

@prashantkumargupta1663 Now that I'm thinking about it. I don't think any of the Squad boss or Guest performances were truly live. It makes sense though because you can't have a Squad boss/Guest judge fumbling or something on TV. Like I said, I only have a problem with the brand songs. Thankfully the squad of the week didn't have any role in Sunday's elimination.

All those performance definitely should be pre recorded as well,I mean they also performed but surely there were the song playing behind them.Because those are out of competition performance and they surely haven't practiced them like the competitors did.For gravity it's still possible because that is very old song,he surely already performed it many times But epr and dino both did perform completely new song,so without many practice it's not possible to perform on stage without any fumble

They decided on a squad of the week on the basis of that brand's performance to give it some sense. And if we noticed, they did not even give the power that comes with Squad of the week. Another thing to note, Badshah unnecessarily gave radio hit to rap ID and Burrah to actually save burrah otherwise Dee MC would save 100RBH and after last week's performance you cannot put rap ID in the battle and have got the audience votes. Battle will be between bob b and burrah.

I feel the reason why Gaush and Shen B didn't get the golden crown was because, then Shen B would have 2 of it and he has to be given the Ticket to finale which the Hustle team might not be wanting... as he may not be the audience favourite, neither is he representing any region, (atleast not outspoken about it), thus again not helping the show grow much. Basically, the judgements have consistently proven that it has nothing or very little to do with the performance but what the makers want.
