I first met Rohan when he was a senior in college, and had just published his article describing his design. It's wonderful to see his dream fulfilled of it being commercially available! It's truly a brilliant conception, in how it completely preserves the instrument's traditional sound and playing style in every essential way, yet hugely improves ease and stability of tuning and maintenance, while expanding its musical capability with a widened pitch range. This is the mridangam of the future, all while faithfully preserving its past and present!
