If not captain, Rohit should’ve been kicked out way earlier. I would even go as far to say that India would’ve had better chances of winning the series, had he not arrived back in Australia. Even his captaincy is so defensive, letting the danger players like Head, Smith and Labuschagne settle and conceding runs afterwards. Clearly, he’s acting selfish and putting his own interests over the team’s . On the other hand, this should serve as a lesson for Gill as well to not throw his wicket down after getting settled. This might be beneficial for him in the longer run. But Rohit has got to understand that he doesn’t deserve a spot in the team and should leave the path clear for the youngsters.
