Baltal to Amarnath Route
Route Map: Baltal - Domali - Barari - Sangam - Amarnath Cave
Note: The width of this trek is a bit narrow as compared to traditional Chandanwari-Holy Cave route. In addition to that there are some steep rises & falls on the way. It is always recommended to come down from this route as it takes only 1 day to reach Baltal from Amarnath Gufa
Amarnath Baltal route starts from Baltal to Domali. The distance is around 2 km. From here, there is another 6 km trek to Barari and afterward, 4 km more to Sangam. This leaves only 2 km to reach your final destination, Amarnath Cave.
This is the shorter route and takes only 1 to 2 days to complete (round trip). Baltal to Amarnath Cave distance is about 14 km, which is covered by a trek.
Remember that this route is a bit difficult and considering the weather conditions and region’s terrain in mind, it is not recommended for elderly citizens. Keep in mind that there are no ponies available on this route. You can either walk or opt for Dandies.

Baba amarnath ji ki yatra pahalgam se by walk waise 3 days ki hoti hai.but aap ghode pe jate ho to ek din me gufa Tak pahonch sakate ho. Baltal route jyada hard hai. See first if helicopter is available then u can plan for yatra. Baltal route is very difficult to climb. But while you coming back from baltal it's too easy for return Trek. For now electricity is available on baltal route so night Trek also you can do. From the baltal by helicopter you will take Max to max 5 to 7 min to reach the holy cave.
