Hey gang! Today, we try a beer from the Rohrbach Brewing Company, located in Rochester, NY. This is their Barrel-Aged Spruce Saison, which is a saison/farmhouse ale and comes in at 8.2% abv. The description is as follows:
A crisp, traditional saison aged in red zinfandel barrels previously housing dry gin for 12 months. After barrel aging, this high gravity saison was cold-conditioned on fresh spruce tips for a refreshing, gin-like flavor and aroma.

I love gin and things that are aged in gin barrels. Gin barrel-aged beers can be SO good and SO fun. They can also be meh. Nice review! Cheers, boys!

Those glasses. These guys, they drink and they know things. I like the lemon zest but i get why youd be disappointed not getting a bark, earthy note. I dont like that wet wood flavor. Tastes like they pulled out of the trough

This is right in my wheelhouse well done. Love Rohrbach haven’t had them in awhile I enjoy there stouts. Absolutely love saisons. Cheers 🍻 boys
