@@isaidmaaayyybeee I made that initial comment a year ago when my life was SOOO different than today.... I was in the depths of a crack cocaine / heroin tsunami-bender, hiding in hotels across the GTA, literally having to peek out of windows to see if the threats were going to escalate...... My god, try to control paranoia in that sitch when there truly, actually are gang asshölěs who, unbelievably, really wanted to hurt me very badly indeed........ So frightening. Roisín kept me sane & kept me from the temptation to just end myself. Got far away from all that. Today, 3 months clean, surrounded by good people who care. I gave several hundred to my nephews this Xmas & I am deeply, deeply grateful that I can now actually do that. Watching this vid again, because I got your response to my comment from a year ago, brought it all back in such a way that I can now truly appreciate how my life has changed for the better getting to today. I love Moloko's music so much, watching this again I swear I nearly had a spontaneous sexual response, & I've been avowedly NONSEXUAL (by choice) for nearly 20 years. This is the most honestly intimate performance I've ever seen, from anyone. She is remarkable. If I was in that room I think I would worship her like the Aztecs worship the Sun. Thank you for your response which has taken me on this unexpected little sentimental & grateful trip. I hope the coming new year has love & peace in store for you, for me, for as many of us as humanly possible. We only have one Earth. We only have one life. We only have each other.

I am glad she dips into the old catalog once in a while. It must be hard to do a song for the 10,000th time. I'm surprised at how well a rave number like this comes across as an acoustic piece. She once commanded stadiums of delirious fans and now we get to sit in her living room and have her do a private performance just for us individually. At least it feels that way. Her camera presence is that strong.

I agree with your comments. Well put. Her dress and makeup would also be similar to stage performance. This song here could have been picked as some of the lyrics reflect our current situation. It could be a love song, a rave on the one hand but in a broader sense it is about time, how we use it, how we interpret it and its value. Currently we can ask ourselves many existential questions and "time" and its effect on us could be one. The song also is about how we should take this moment and enjoy it despite our current problems. excerpts: "You're the first thing And the last thing on my mind" =What is the first thing and the last thing on our mind today? "Time is upon us" =we are all waiting "You may find yourself Out on a limb for me Could you accept it as Part of your destiny?" = what is in store? Can something good come out of this? "And we gave it time All eyes are on the clock Time takes too much time Please make the waiting stop And the atmosphere is charged" = When have we had enough of waiting`? This song brings back so many memories of a particular time in my early 20's. Thanks Róisín, this song meant a lot to a me back then, and it's still one of my all time favorites. Would have been really cool to have experienced the early 00's music scene that produced songs like this, but alas, I'm from Auckland New Zealand. I missed the UK rave scene of the 90's also :( The time always seems to be now on some other part of the planet :D
