ROK US Military Police conduct Combined Close Quarters training

Interoperability between U.S. and Republic of Korea Forces is why the military Alliance between the two nations is unlike any other in the world. The phrase Katchi Kapshida “We Go Together” is not just a catch phrase. Should the armistice fail, ROK and US forces would fight side by side as they did over 70 years ago. Being ready for the fight means ROK and US forces must also “Do Together.” The “do” being training, as shown during a recent Combined ROK/US Military Police training event at the Rodriguez Live Fire Complex in Pocheon Aug. 22, 2022.

I wore that patch almost 45 years ago, as a 110th MP at Camp Ames Korea, which was part of 19th Support, what it was called back then. I returned to Korea 81-82 as a Traffic Accident Specialist with the 2nd MPs, 2nd Infantry Division. I also served as a RAILWAY MP in Europe (81-82), and as a CID Special Agent out of the Frankfurt CID office in West Germany. Curious: Is there still a KATUSA program?
