If you knew about Sasaki’s life you would know that he takes that whole “tomorrow is never promised” philosophy to heart. He lives for the present.

insane offseason. gotta be unprecedented, right? has a world series champ ever improved their roster this much immediately after winning?

The resurgence of working the upper quandrants of the zone is due to the launch angle power swingers that are so widespread throughout the league. And a vulnerable spot for these hitters are in the upper quandrants where they can't barrel it up and down and away. So it makes sense for rising FBs and sweepers and splitters to become more of a part of the pitchers' repertoire. As for the 2025 Dodgers, yes they are formidable. But, and I say this as a Dodgers fan, if ohtani goes down, all bets are off. It becomes a wide open race. He is the one indispensable player on that team. They could win without Betts, it would be very difficult, but they could do it. But without ohtani, they would still be good in the regular season, but it would be a different story in the playoffs.

Sasaki can sign an extension right away, but I think Dodgers will see how well he pitches before even considering an extension. If he pitches like an ace after 2-3 years, they’ll throw the bank at him

kinda funny they both know padres is struggling , and asking sasaki that already lose millions to save them ??? make it make sense. if its their own career they will choose the dodgers too. its because its not their own life/career they talk like that

Over and over I keep hearing analysts trying to predict or understand Japanese players decisions from an American perspective and not accounting for the extremely different culture in Japan. It's never about "me" in Japan. They are NOT an individualistic culture. When you try to understand Japanese players, you have to think, "What would l do if "me" wasn't the most important thing in any and every way." Then it all makes sense.

We went through the LA season w every good or DECENT pitcher injured. Tyler Glasjaw checks out if he’s got a hangnail! People quickly forget how last season the national Dodgers story was “ZERO PITCHING”-we had to bring up SCRUBS in October, FFS. We finally get a ‘90s-caliber Yankees rotation & people act like LA’s always been known for ungodly _pitching_ rotations! 👀🤔🥴🤦‍♂️ This is what’s makin me laugh about the whining; had this been going on for even three or more years, then I could KINDA get it, but they ain’t even played ONE GAME yet.

😂😂😂😂 is all you can do as a non Dodgers fan. My gosh if the MLB doesn't take away deferred money and add salary cap, people who aren't Dodgers fan won't even watch the sport. Lol why would they? If the Dodgers dont sweep every team in the playoffs with this roster healthy year in and year out, that would be a disappointment. That's the level their on lol. It was fun when they signed Shohei and Yamamoto, now its getting a bit ridiculous. All deferred money, discounts and literally seemingly signing all the best talent. I mean they literally have ace pitchers all the way to like their 7th pitcher lol that's unheard of. Then you have STACKED relief pitcher rotation. Add that with a lineup full of MVPs, All-Stars and HOF players, not no team can remotely match their talent. The team with the best shot in the division is the Padres and Mets and they stand no chance beating them in a playoff series. Not with that roster. The Dodgers have quite literally EVAPORATED the competition. They took the competition out competition lol. And their probably not done yet lol wow.
