This is great. Bit of a noob question, but when you use tape recorder like that is there a way of taking that recorded animation data and applying it to a different rig? If I decided to change the character, or is the animation data kind of 'baked' into that character?

hey Ben, you can always retarget those animations for other rigs.

wait so you dont have to create a blueprint - body map data with this new plugin?

it's actually in official plugin on marketplace now, so no longer experimental. And yes, you don't need to setup all that stuff like before...it's just one node. Super easy... However! I just did some tests recently and it looks like this only works with UE skeleton characters. I tried with Mixamo and it didn't work. They do have plans to fix and expand on this though so pretty soon it should be compatible with most skeletons.

Yes but you have to install from Github with the updated binaries. Let me know if you can't find it.

Hi! Does this still work with UE5.1.1 and marketplace plugin? When I load my Rokoko source in livelink, it doesn't look different like yours does. My character loads in rokoko studio, but doesn't appear in livelink as a subject :/

Are you using UE5.1? If you're on 5.3 check out the updated video in the description. If you're still on UE5.1, it should work like before. If you don't see the live link subject, then your connection to Live link is not established. Make sure you're using the same port number when connecting (check by clicking the gear icon in Rokoko studio when you are checking on the live stream)

@@beyondcinema 5.1.1 to be exact. I do see the actor subject! But when I pair my imported character to the Actor in rokoko studio, the livelink subject disappears...You're just supposed to replace the whole "Binaries Folder" with the one you provided right?

@@naimulhasan1014 yes that's correct about the binaries folder. That's strange that you are seeing those results, it could have to do with later updates they did to Studio that maybe changed this. I would go into their Discord Server and post your question there b/c their dev team monitors those questions and usually responds pretty quickly. Sorry couldn't be of more help.
