I stayed for a night at my brother's house after my dad died, and slept in his basement on the couch The TV was on because his kids had lost the remote but the roku was still working, so as I fell asleep that night I kept watching the city go past in silence whenever I see this it brings me back

I love this thing. It's beautiful to look at, I love the depth of it, it has a certain liminal quality to it, it's super detailed, it's colorful, & I like to try & pick out all the movie references hidden in there. My wife thinks I'm crazy for sitting on the edge of the coffee table & just staring at it, but it has some sort of relaxing quality to it like a waterfall, campfire, or fish tank does. I even like the other scenes like the mountain top with the train or the winter one with the little houses that are on some of the sub menus. Whoever does their graphic design is a true artist.

I thought I was the only one doing that! LOL. I do find it relaxing to just stare at that screen and find all the little references hidden everywhere. My other half thinks Im weird when I move to side on my knees right in front of it... Perhaps it's a new way to hypnotise people through our TVs???

🔴 Look, this Roku thing is so sweet and can help u to create sweet memories if used right. You can try this or anything u choose to condition ur memory on specific moments to stay on ur subconscious for ages and ages. Works the best on younger minds though, maybe because they have the patience & drive. Here how it goes, keep watching or listening to something for over a period of time, associated with specific factors, and it will become a part of ur live. Whenever u see or hear that something, it will basically take u back in time & place. But make sure to create pleasant moments to remember, because whatever u create, it will hit u strongly whenever you come across it. So plz🙏🏻 make it pleasantly memorable. I remember when I was in Houston Community College back in the late 90s, there was this class 30 min. away from the main campus I used to go to. So, whenever I took 45 South highway, I used to put country music, eventhough it was not my favorite type of music, but I used to force my self not to play anything else, just for the heck of it. I think I was doing experiments on my self. Now 20+ years later, in Saudi Arabia, where I live, everytime I hear country music, I just get a flashback & sweet feeling of my exciting & naively naughty years back in college. But remember, this take patience & the longer it takes, the more solid the memories will be shaped. You can use endless list of ways to create those memories, like watching a background like Roku for long enough, or listen to something specific for long, or even smelling something distinctive for long enough. That's why whenever we smell pumpkins in July, we get transferred back to December instantly. Also, whenever we, out of the blue, get turkeys with cranberries dish, we instantly think of Thanksgiving. That goes well with Christmas music & Christmas lights as well. Go ahead and try this on ur selves & ur kids as well, and create for them such memorable sweet moments to remind them of us when we all pass away🥺
