I have this model and I rely on it for weddings, services in non church locales, and nice playing sessions at home. It's s got a good variety of stops, and it's easy to record songs, hymns, etc. and save to a thumb drive. I often record the left hand part or bass part and then play along with that pre recorded track. The orchestral and solo instrument sounds are quite good and layer well with the organ sounds. It can hold its own against the current Dexibell/Johann us one manual organs. It has its limitations but for the money it sounds as good or better than many big electronic digital organs that I've heard in my area. And it is easy to move around at only 26 lbs!

This is definitely a contender for replacing a damaged Korg® T1 (an older 88-key). Additional 73-key MIDI controllers are available from various sources, and I'm investigating a 32-key pedalboard from Classic Organ Works along with a Rodgers® bench and custom multi-keyboard tube frame and music rack for the project.

No problem. I know because I was present at the video shoot. I was first confused by your assertion that there was a harpsichord sound because, on a quality sound system, there is nothing between 10:28 and 10:31 that resembles a harpsichord. I now realize that, on small computer speakers, the sharp mixtures and reeds used in the pedal passage at that point may sound somewhat percussive. This would also explain why you didn't see the notes being played, as they were played on the pedals.

?? this is what the Legends voice sounds like, a cross between a spanish lover and an italian grandpa, its not unplesant, but his playing is impeccable to show out the clarity and quality of the organ in the right hands. but I have to say I do like pretty staineglass in the church they are in its very nice, judgeing right off hand looks like a bavarian stainglass style window, or tiffany style. though the website for the church said the window was made in england.

I love this class of instruments. I own one of these as well as the Roland C-180, C-230, And C-30. All of these have superb sound and with every new generation, improvements were abundant. It’s a shame Roland completely got out of this type of instrument and dissolved their Roland Classic series. The C-30 Harpsichord might still be available though. Roland sold Rodgers and that was it. I can’t really tune into the Dexibell stuff. Not as realistic and warm sounding as the Roland instruments. Hector really makes this C-230 shine. Man, he’s good. Now if only Rodgers would carry on making some portable instruments of this quality.

@AtelierUS I only hear music with my Beyerdynamic T1 headphone. And it never fooled me :-) I could swear, I can hear a harpsichord in the beginning of the song at 10:18 in the left hand... And between 10:28-10:31 it is off without a program change. I can't wait to play it by myself and see how the instrument works.

@AtelierUS Thank you so much for your answer. If I may dare to ask: how do you know? I want to know, because I am very interested in the C-200 and C-230. But it takes a while till I can play them in store here in germany. What irritates me also is from 10:28 to 10:31. In 3 seconds the sounds (left hand) changes from harpsichord to organ without harpsichord. But I have seen no program change.

Most Organs in England and Spain until the 19th century didn't have a pedalboard. In fact, most of their music is written for a manuals-only organ. Spanish music in particular is built with the assumption that one has a split manual at middle C/C# (and most had only 4 octaves with a short-octave bass!)

I'm not sure what you're hearing at 10:28, but I can assure you that this performance is 100% "live and realtime". There was no sequencing, over-dubbing, or any other kind of "cheating".
