I still feel in love with Roland Sounds. Very thick and firm sound structure. This should be in studio because these legendary sounds are much better. You can not get these EP with Kronos X.

These sounds have to be layered to reach their full potential... the Montage sounds don’t have to be layered but if you take your time and program the Fantom you will have s keyboard that sounds just as good as the Kronos or the Montage.

I've never bought a new board that I didn't have to tweek the sounds to my liking. Add some reverb, some layers, tweek the chorus.

Stanley Christian what do you mean by smooth transition, between sounds? It does, it’s just not being shown here, I’m assuming to show the distinctiveness between sounds. This keyboard can transition between sounds seamlessly. Watch Tibbs KZbin video. He shows a lot of that.

The organ sound of my old expansion board 60&70 on my old Roland xp 30 is of the same quality or maybe better than this organ. Perhaps the problem is that the player plays the organ like a pianist ... but anyway I think that the sound is abergiously bad, unacceptable! The Hammond sound on my Korg Kronos is still the best in a workstation....

I'm surprised by that too. I've got a 20+ year old VK-7 that has vastly superior organ sound. I would like the convenience of having a workstation that can do it all with a nice interface. The layering and sequencing options look nice on the Fantom, but the sounds are a bit of a let down honestly. They should be able to do better in their flagship keyboard.

I think the same, and the same thing I have noticed in the new Kurzweil models, my old JV 1080 sounds better than the Fantom, I don't know if it will be a problem with the D / A converter, or the audio circuit, because it sounds too bad

@WAR LORD Shouldn't have to. For a board expensive like this the sounds should be A1 out the box. I don't want to waste time tweaking to get it how It should sound like.

@WAR LORD I see your point, however like the gentleman said, you shouldn't have to tweek it. The ability to tweek the sound is a feature, not a requirement , especially considering how much they want for this thing. Not really thing but there are VST libraries that'll blow this thing to shreds for a fraction of the cost. It's a hard pass for me. I'll keep my Fantom X-7, imo their last greatest workstation.
