Because presets mostly sucks. Synth is more individuel sound expression than mass presets shredding.

Afaik nothing. It just passes the input to output, no fx or anything.

This is the shitty/ punk edge that some of my recordings needed. The presets are awful. The synth sounds ok. I really like having access to these waveforms and being able to filter them and add modulation. Any one of these waveforms with a bit of LFO and filter will sound better than every preset on this thing. Usually the case, even for high end stuff.

I like the exterior a lot, and those envelopes (!), but sounds are not my flavor. Ruined my budget for jx-08.

I really hate how they charge so much for the DK-01 dock. Such a money grab, especially when all the drum machines come with it, by default and for the exact same price. I think all the Boutique should come with the dock, standard.

Agreed. With the crappy little Keybed and tax it was nearly 600 bucks for me. That’s enough to get a mini freak, which sounds worlds better than this. I’m still excited about the portability and the different palette of sounds this offers, but it should be half the price.
