Roland Juno DS 88 Sounds Demo (Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Piano, Clav, Organ, Synth) | Robert Dimbleby

Demonstrating some of my most used sounds in the Roland Juno DS 88, covering EPs, Organs, Clavs and various others. For a demo of the default grand piano sound, please check out my other video "Roland Juno-DS 88 Jazz Piano" (link below).
There's an enormous range of sounds in this keyboard so it's impossible to cover all of them, but I've included what I think are the best staple sounds. For some of the sounds (mainly organs) I'm using the EXP-02 expansion pack which is free to download from the Roland Axial website. This video straight up made me purchase a Juno DS61. Was waiting to get the black keys version of the Crumar Mojo61, but the sounds on the Juno are fantastic. I love it when boards like this have a slightly 'artificial' element to EP's and Organs--and this one just sounds otherworldly at times. Great for experimental/electronic stuff. I just took up the instrument and chose the Juno DS88, and I'm glad I did! Great action, easy to hook up to the computer for lesson apps, and the action feels like a real piano. I hope to sound as good as you one day!

What is your recommendation for the closest to a acoustic piano sound for background music? I can't quite seem to nail the regular piano sound! Any recommendations for settings? And yes, I am dealing with the Juno DS 88.

Robert Dimbleby I have the 61 key version of this keyboard. I've only been learning for about 3 months and taking this isolation time to practice for at least 2 to 3 hours every day. I'm getting better and can play a few songs but I feel like it will be years before I can play like you :/

@@officialWWM Sounds like you're doing the right thing, it's all about just putting the time in. We've all got different aims and it's easy to get overwhelmed but the important thing is just to be putting the hours in and doing something to improve every day! Make sure you're playing music that you enjoy too, otherwise it will feel very tedious!

Robert Dimbleby thanks for the advice. I am a reasonably accomplished guitar player, drummer and singer, so I've at least got a reasonable grasp of chord progressions and theory. That's making my progress a little quicker I think. I love classic organ sounds and electric piano pieces like you are playing. I am currently working on Whiter Shade of Pale by Procal Harum and having great fun with that. The biggest problem I have at the moment is that by the time I get good at playing a piece, I'm sick of it and never want to hear it again 😂😂

Thanks! Made that one a while ago but still enjoy playing it. I use the medium velocity setting but with a velocity offset of 9 so it's essentially the heaviest setting on medium
