I didn't become a keyboard player to create flamenco guitar sounds. If I did, I'd buy a motif. This board's strength is in it's ability to layer to create fat analog like sounds. I can't figure why Roland doesn't market it that way. Even it's factory presets are mostly more about gimmick and showcasing than creating usable performance patches. There are a few exceptions like the mini ripper (bank 1 registration b4). But you have to dig with this machine to see what it's capable of.

After all these years of technological progress, with memory now dirt cheap, considering the price of this keyboard, and with Roland trying to claim that their Supernatural Sounds are really expressive, it's disappointing to hear obvious chipmunking in this guitar sound do to Roland not sampling every key and producing that obvious digital sampling sound. Can't convince people they're hearing a real guitar when the same sample is just sped up or down to change pitch.

Not even close. Too bad. I'd wish I could lust after this keyboard. It's looks cool. Too bad it's sounds don't live up to the hype. P.S. I wish keyboard manufacturers would stop trying to emulate acoustic instruments, or AT LEAST take the job seriously. This isn't any closer to real guitar sound than you'd get with 20-year-old gear. In the meantime, you could have met an actual guitarist to play your music with you. If you want to emulate acoustic instruments, stick with rare ones.
