What do you need the RD2000 do differently? I have one and I don't find any real drawbacks. Now we even have tha Grand German expansion. Functionality is good, keybed is good... if you need something else, the Fantom 8 is the next step.

how to combine with another keyboard using a midi cable? I have a Roland E-A7, for the accompaniment I want to put it on the left key until the split mark of the E-A7, the right key is for the default sound from the RD-08. can it be like that?

I would buy it at once with 73 keys, because i don‘t have the Space in my little Homerecording Studio. So it seems i have to go for the Studiologic Numa X 73.

I wonder if the RD-08 has some feature or advantage that the RD-88 doesn't have. Conversely, is the RD-88 better than the RD-08? The price difference is not big.

As I read some review on RD-08 and I owned RD-88, I'd say no....there is no spec advantage on RD-08 to RD-88. It's more like RD-88 is a big bro of RD-08, like a comparison between RD-700nx and RD-300nx. RD-88 and RD-08 are based on the same ZEN Core technology which derived from the Fantom and have the same number of tone inside. However, RD-88 can make a preset of 400 scene in total while RD-08 is limited to only 100 (But it's not gonna be a big deal on a live performance....imao, we don't even use more than 20). What can be more important to consider are the knobs which RD-88 has more knobs and they are more assignable while RD-08 has less and they are quite fixed. Moreover, RD-88 has a capability to be used as a DAW control while RD-08 hasn't (But it won't be a problem if you don't use DAW or just focus on a live performance or a rehearsal). RD-08 will be a bit cheaper than RD-88. That's what I understand. Anyone can fix me if there is any mistake on my reply.

Yes! There's a dedicated button on the front panel to activate and deactivate the on-board speakers. Nice that you can do this quickly without sorting through menus. The onboard speakers are convenient for practice and sound quite good for their size, but can be easily turned off when using a larger sound system. Thanks for watching!
