I'm really impressed by the ease at which the strings are faded in at 1:32. Ms Scott simply reaches up and moves the second slider from the left up because she has chosen her favorite string sounds and assigned them to that fader ahead of time. Then she fades the strings back out at around 2:04. Trust me, in a live situation, there have been precious few keyboards that have made it this easy to fade in and fade back out various sounds. I really like this feature.

Nice keyboard, for sure. And have this female sing in another youtube video demonstration. Wished I could find it because I couldn't believe how sick her voice is. Well I could listen to her all day :) Wonder if that's the same ivory feel keybed they put in the DS88? That was really nice to play. Great feel and my fingers didn't keep slipping off the keys.

Nope. This is a step up. The keybed is the same as the top class LX-pianos and the GP607 grand piano.

Yeah I saw the price which here in the UK is £1699 so almost double the price of a DS88. The quality of the keybed accounts for most of that price difference I think.

She is playing so nice, that even a bad piano would have sounded good when she plays. I did listen to many demos on youtube with this particular piano, and it sounded mediocre. The way she is playing it gives us the impression of a good piano. This is not a bad piano, but certainly not a good one either.

I have the RD-2000... and had the RD-800. I must say that I'm not convinced about the virtually modeled sound of the piano... the virtual Pianos of PIANOTEQ sounds better. Sorry... why didn't you integrate such sound....???

Will this ever be updated?. It's a wonderful instrument, but way too big, heavy and bulky. I'd love a 73 keys version, with a touchscreen, slimmer profile and about 30 lb max. Of course, with seamless transitions between patches. Improve your pianos and organs (specially the leslie and distortion). And add a mic input. Cheers

Bull Im trading mine in for the RD. Nord piano samples r no good for solo piano. Only good to cut through in a band mix. Very trebly. I only liked the Studio Grand 2 the only realist piano sample they have. Rest of their piano samples meh.... for what they charge you Id expect way better. Nord pianos sound like harpsichords. But overall not a bad keyboard but not worth what they charge. I think Roland RD 2000 is a way better and a more versatile keyboard.
