Don't know why folks keep going after Deion Sanders. Could it be jealousy?
Colorado State's Coach Jay Norvell isn't too thrilled with all the buzz around Deion Sanders, the head coach at the University of Colorado.
You know, the whole thing with Coach Sanders, his hats, and sunglasses? Well, Norvell had some shade to throw at Coach Sanders.

Goes back to what Coach Prime said "Don't Let My Confidence Offend your Insecurity"
@ljsmixbox44
@ljsmixbox44 8 ай бұрын
What insecurity? Sanders is the one that bailed out on JSU in his second year coaching on a 3 year contract. I guest that was insecurity. The man lost back 2 back celebration bowls. He was embarrassed. But his ears were open to a PWI offer. Sanders did not get that job because of coaching experience. 2 years at JSU and his 1st year at Colorado. Nah... that's not how It's done. It was because of the name Prime... That name sells and a lot more.

I believe without the cheap shot on Hunter, and playing the game straight up, CSU would have lost by more than they did. Not necessarily a blowout, but definitely no overtime. Their defense was good and their QB and top receiver are very good, but the Buffs have too many elite weapons, without the cheap drama and fake injuries everytime Buffs found a rhythm...35-14 Buffs.

My daughter is a junior at CU and the university has given several black head coaches an opportunity, but Sanders is the one bringing the bright lights. I actually encouraged her to go Howard, but later saw the student issue with the dorms. I believe she's made the right decision for her. We need to occupy and excel in all spaces HBCU and Power 5, Fortune 500 and independent, North and South, urban and rural. Respect to all my brothers and sisters that are advancing The Dream.

@@JetSetAtl I fully support people going to various types of colleges. I did attend 2 HBCUs and they were in pretty decent shape. Overall there are some pretty nice ones like Howard, Spelman, Morehouse, etc and some decent ones as well as ones that are in bad condition. I think a lot is to be desired when it comes to administration and management of many HBCUs. There is also corruption at some of them too. The alum giving rate of alums of HBCUs is on pace with other alums of PWI colleges on average though. I used to think is was dismal but it's actually on par. This is why I say there is obvious mismanagement and corruption at some of these institutions. That said, I support people sending their children to wherever they feel is best for their children. I also went to a PWI and will most likely go to a PWI for grad school as well.

One thing often overlooked about why Coach Prime went to a Power 5 is simply for his kids, particularly Sheduer. He wanted to do right by him and give the opportunities he might not otherwise realize at JSU. I’m talking about the Heisman and other exposure that can lead to more accolades including being drafted very high in the NFL. That factor weighs heavily in the timing. Now, what parents on here would not give their kids the best opportunities and tools to succeed even if it included sending them to a private school or another school district that gives them a better chance to realize their full potential? We all want the best for our kids, and if that includes buying a house in a better school district or environment for their education, then we would make the necessary sacrifices to do it.

Hello, I am 58yrs old, I had 3 of my Nephews attend Howard University and two of my nieces attend Langston University, I encouraged them to attend a HBCU because I am a Native Coloradan and have been a CU Buffaloes fan since 1975. I understand what a HBCU does for many Black children and how HBCU's change Black Children lives for the better. What I don't agree with is the continued disrespect of Deion Sanders for leaving Jackson State University. I raised four adult daughters, my oldest daughter is a college professor in Texas in Nursing and I will tell you this as a parent if my children are threatened and there are safety issues as a parent I will remove my child from that environment. It's unfair to continue to question Deion Sanders, Jackson State had Coach Prime and it didn't work out for many reasons but to suggest that he should have keep his children in any environment that isn't safe is just crazy to me, whether your children attend a PWI or HBCU your child's safety comes first, period and if people who have never raised children don't understand that, that's exactly why you don't have your own children!!
