Hi John. Only just found time to watch this, so I am a bit late. Dave Smith is forever at the top of my wish list, but in reality I always spent my money on less expensive gear long before I manage to safe up the cash. The same goes for the big Moog synths and the Novation Summit. I do regret missing out on the Tempest though now it has been discontinued. Another one of those expensive high end toys that always get bumped by more affordable fun gear from Korg and Roland. The Tempest has been in stock for ages so I always kept waiting, saying "next time". And now they are all sold out within days and not even at reduced prices. At least the Elektron MK1 boxes went pretty cheap when they were discontinued and that is when I jumped on all of them (with big thanks to my girlfriend). At a slightly more mid range level I do still want a System-8. I really like the whole Aira range, which only means that I will probably buy the TR-8s and the MC-707 (they look so cool together) before taking my money to Dave. I also checked out the TR-06. You say you don't like the look, and I respect that, but I think it looked pretty cool next to the TB-03 in the You Tube vids of Roland. I am however a bit biased because I love the Boutique range and I have all off them in a rack. I also like that it is still based on the "old" ACB modelling, which is digital, but a way more accurate revision than all that new Zen core business because all the parts are modelled, not just the end result. I think I can guess what they will present on the 7th of July 2021! A piece of gear that I am still not sure about is the Wavestate. It looks fantastic and its possibilities are huge, but will it be too complicated to use? I am afraid I will just end up using presets and turning to other gear for music creation or just playing around. What are your thoughts on the Wavestate?

Hiya John! Yeah that Boss looper is first loopop vid I haven't watched in years lol....I like the black moogs but agree boxes with buttons need bright colour writting...main reason I kept mpc lives n didnt swap for mpc ones were..no wifi (because serato dj uses ableton link/clock too so in theory you could play records in time with mpc) and buttons are back lit in live...great in dark. Yep I have no clue why Roland did it either...like surely you would just save up for mc707? I would!

Hey Inky!!! I mean it’s an offering...I wouldn’t be surprised if intwo years the tr06 and the tr6s are discontinued. What an absolutely awesome time for music gear and just gear and gadgets period!!!

to be honest I feel like Dave Smiths audience is maybe mostly rich ppl who collect a lot of synths and don't really record or release anything with them cuz I'm the same never seen anyone use them in a practical sense. Except the more affordable ones like the Mopho and Tetra that I think they dont sell any more :(
