@@johnniesteele9865 A 2017 report by the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) found that just 18 percent of Black eighth-graders reach reading “proficiency.” And in 2015 NAEP found that only 17 percent of Black 12th graders were proficient at reading. This means that during normal times, fewer than two out of every ten African-American high school graduates have the baseline skills they need to succeed. Compare that to the nearly half of White 12th graders who tested “proficient,” a rate about three times higher than that of Black high school seniors.

This is sadly the problem with most of these people black or white. They are in league with the racists, they don't want diversity taught in schools, so they came up with this idea that they would call it critical race theory. Critical Race Theory is a law school course that studies the impact of the racist laws and case law of the US and how that contributed to institutional racism. End of story, they are not teaching law school in high school or grade school. They are barely teaching US History. Critical race theory (CRT), a scholarly movement that began in the 1980s, challenges both the substance and style of conventional legal scholarship. Substantively, critical race scholars (“race crits”) reject formal equality, individual rights, and color-blind approaches to solving legal problems. Stylistically, race crits often employ new methodologies for legal scholarship, including storytelling and narrative. This course introduces CRT’s core principles and explores its possibilities and limitations. With a heavy focus on writings that shaped the movement, the course will examine the following concepts and theories: storytelling, interest convergence theory, the social construction of race, the black-white paradigm, the myth of the model minority, intersectionality, essentialism, working identity, covering, whiteness and white privilege, colorblindness, microaggressions, and implicit bias. Students will apply these theories and frameworks to cases and topics dealing with, among other things, first amendment freedoms, affirmative action, employment discrimination, and criminal disparities and inequities. The course affords students an opportunity to think about the ways in which racism, sexism, classism, and heterosexism are inextricably interwoven as well as an opportunity to challenge critically our most basic assumptions about race, law, and justice from Duke Law School.

True. Not only that but the school does not know the magnitude of the problem. They need to ask everyone that could be a potential victim of the complaints. It happens everyday in cases where victims need to be separated from their oppressors so they can speak freely without worrying about repercussions. The thing that irks me in this case is that, okay; it was human for her to err in her thinking, but then when Roland points out the error in her logic she has no epiphany in her recognizing like most reasonable adults likely would, hey I was wrong. @rudedude83 Regurgitating the name-calling narrative over critical thinking skills is unhealthy for any individual or nation. When critical thought is applied to a subject, we should avoid the ad hominem logical fallacy. Ad hominem: A fallacious argumentative strategy that avoids genuine discussion of the topic by instead attacking the character, motive, etc., of a person(s) associated with the argument. We can do better. When we participate in any discussions, it is used to gain a wealth of information to help develop our sound decision-making skills. The problem is that most racists never acknowledge that they are racists. Most black people who say there is no racism are married to people of European descent. This lady is devoid of simple statistics. When she says black people in America are the most successful in the whole world. Is she talking in relative or absolute terms? Has she looked at the contribution African Americans have made to the US economy and how much have they achieved in that period and does she think that their economic progress is commensurate with their contribution over the centuries. How come the immigrants from Europe do better than African Americans.Where in Africa has she been?

What is she ignorant about? Black liberals just can't exist outside of victimization. You, me and everyone else grew up knowing about racism and slavery without Critical Race Theory, so what's the point of CRT?
