Good to see Ed Diaz doing great with Roland. He’s from music department of University of Texas at Arlington. I used to saw him in Jazz Combo with couple of my friends playing for recital. I was studying music during that time Ed was there too 1997.

Yes, V-STAGE has SCENE remain. Which means you can hold one SCENE and switch to another without any interruption in the sound. This is the first time this has been available using the V-PIANO engine. 🙌🏽

and the wah its adjustable? so.. I mean if I put a way over a E.piano, and I just press a few keys and hold them.. the way will be open and close atomaticly as an auto was?. it will be great because in the VR-09B it is just a simple master effect without automatic open and close movement. just buy pressing and release the keys it do a normal way effect.

@@EdDiazKeysUnfortunately, Hammond organ playing is different from pipe organ. The keyboard action is also very different. Waterfall action is not the best for playing pipe organ. I am always surprised that “organ” means “Hammond or other electronic organ” for most reviewers.

@Bruce.-Wayne13 күн бұрын
Yeah, thats a deal breaker for some folks because Roland is still using the Modeled piano sound across their boards....
@EdDiazKeys13 күн бұрын
I think you’ll have to give it a try. Remember that with the V-Piano you have the option of making your own custom piano with numerous parameters available.
@justinhavu11 күн бұрын
@@EdDiazKeys I tried the original V-Piano back in 2010 at GC in Boston. There was always a nasty frequency around the 2KHz-4KHz range that I could never get rid of no matter what I did with creating a custom piano. There's also a warmth in the low-mid range that was missing, something other manufacturers managed to capture beautifully. I also had an RD-88 EX for about a day, that I needed to exchange because the PHA-4 was incredibly fatiguing to play, and since my carpal tunnel surgery back in 2018, my hands haven't been the same since, so any hammer/weighted action needs to be as light as I can get. Other than Yamaha's GEX action in the Montage M8X, the only other keybed I felt at home with was my RD-1000, which sadly passed away last year. :(

So, 128 scenes. That's 128 songs. Nord has 500, so I have 400 songs and you pull in / mix 40 for a gig, job done. Major flaw. Not sure how you split, how many, where, and what you can do on each. Another flaw. Oh dear...

@Bruce.-Wayne13 күн бұрын
....is there a reason why Roland keep staying away from "Sampled" pianos?
@EdDiazKeys13 күн бұрын
@@Bruce.-WayneI feel that for Roland, we’ve done sampled instruments, and although very good, Modeling instruments is the next step in the evolution of instrumental recreation. With samples you create essentially a snapshot of an instrument with a specific sound, but limited parameter options. With Modeling such as V-Piano and ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) synth we model the components of the sound. This gives the user the ability customize many aspects of their instrument’s sound without the limitations of sampling.
