They sound great to me. Been playing drums for 45 years. I think Roland has improved their sounds from the 50.

LOL you're right, who set them up? I didn't know they worked hitting them on that side.

Are the toms clipping on the hardest hits? Or are they ment to sound like that?

I think they just need to adjust the pad sensitivity. Every drummer hit different. The pads are settings should always be adjusted. makes a huge different, special with machine gunning.

Better than the TD50x but I still prefer SD3 with Death & Darkness when it comes to metal edrumming

I would like to buy one of these and I’m trying real hard Roland but, every video I watch, I’m not impressed! I’m going to wait and see where you go from here for now
