One of the best techniques of all time... If not for her height which limited her serve a lot, she would've been one of the 🐐 for sure!

I would say she is one of the goats of women tennis. Ofcourse she could've had many more titles were it not for a few hiccups and it would help her case but when Henin was playing at her peak she was simply unstoppable. For a woman of her stature compared to the Sharapova's, Clijsters, Williams that were all competing as well, it speaks volume to her ability and technique.

She admits and regrets her mistakes. Especially with Serena, I remember she apologized to Serena after the French Open and Serena accepted. She wasn’t a perfect competitor but at least she admitted her mistakes. Don’t forget that Serena, Mauresmo and others have admitted to their own mistakes as well. They are all human and have let their emotions cloud their judgement just like like the rest of us occasionally. Her skill was incredibly high and she deserves her flowers just like other great players

@@23Echeo But she did address it in an interview. I believe it was after her first retirement from the sport. I'm a big Henin fan, but I'm not blind to her flaws. It was a low moment and she displayed some questionable sportsmanship throughout her career. But let's not pretend that the hand incident was this seismic act that cost Serena the match at FO '03. Serena was impacted by the partisan crowd, blinked, and Henin made her pay.

@@deedledave9826 that fake narrative doesn't fly. That point cost her the match. We all know she cheated and would practically do anything at all costs to win that match! Thankfully, karma got her in the end! 😂

@@23Echeo How is it a fake narrative? Serena seemed annoyed by the hand incident, but she shook her head, moved on, and served. She didn't look distraught by it at all. The crowd got to her, not Henin.

I remember her not admitting to the umpire hat she lifted her left hand to stop Serena's serve. She also retired in the AO final when she was loosing to Mauresmo. She is not a true champion and she has bad sportsmanship.

@@dugie9 That wasn't cheating. She accidentally raised her hand up. She didn't do that on purpose. No athlete is cheater.
