While it's true that both the DNC and RNC are corporately backed and by wealthy ppl. The stark difference is that only one group has programs and support to the middle class and poor, who actually make up more of the US population than the 1% who are super wealthy. The middle class pays the most taxes and those taxes go to support the poor and the programs that keep them afloat. Repubs are for the wealthy. I thought Kamala did talk about the economy and making it better when she said she was going after price gouging, giving people money for housing giving parents 6000 dollars in the first year of the their kids life. These are ways to help working class and the economy. So she did speak on it on several times. They need to stop blaming democrats, stop ignoring race and blame those that voted for Trump. They should have known better. Trump showed them that he doesn’t care about anyone but himself, including the working class, is guilty of 34 felons, is a racist, a rapist, said he was gonna be a dictator, said he was gonna help his rich friends and not the rest of us. Etc. Yet, they ignored that. This is all about them wanting power, being ignorant or thinking if they side with white supremacy even if they are not white, they are safe. Frustrating.

Preventing price gouging is important during emergencies like covid, hurricanes etc. It does not help, however, if the normal prices are way too high. Prices have gone up 20% in the last four years. People's paychecks have not. And for the people who cannot afford to own a home, the down-payment assistance is not helpful. There are many people who also don't have kids.

And yet there are many people, like myself, who are in dire financial situations. I am childless, I cannot afford a house, and even without price gouging, groceries have nearly doubled from what I was paying a few years ago. My rent had gone up $400 dollars a month in one year and recently I have been laid off. Once unemployment runs out, I'm probably going to live with my family so I can get back on my feet. If I didn't have that, I'd be homeless. Additionally, she had no plan to overhaul our Healthcare system. She rejected and distanced herself from Medicare for All as soon as she was nominated. So I think it all boils down to how she was speaking about it. And also how substantive here policies actually were.

She said that for each of her flip flops, her values haven't changed. I didn't see a replacement for Medicare for All? She not once mentioned that Healthcare should be a right to all citizens regardless of financial situation. I still voted for her. But was I impressed or optimistic after hearing her economic proposals? Absolutely not. It felt like she was putting tiny band-aids on a gaping wound and calling it a day. Unfortunately, that is typical with both parties and I think we're going to continue to see the American people being discontent with our economic situation until the core issues are addressed. And I think that's why Bernie resonates so well with people. He actually addressed the root of the problem.

Sanders lost in South Carolina and every southern state. He was not known in the south where most primary voters resides. It is impossible to win democratic primaries without southern voters. Sanders barely won Iowa, was viable in states outside the south. All democratic candidates has to be viable in the south where the population is more diverse. He lost every southern state to President Biden mainly because of the black vote which did not know Sanders at all. No it was not stolen he lost heavily.
