Yesterday, in my gym, there was a group of black guys thrilled that Trump was elected. They were talking to each other about all the "great" things Trump will do for the black community, the "illegals" he will deport, etc.... I couldn't believe my ears. Im from a very blue State (RI), I'm black/Brazilian. I'm literally scared of what will happen to this country and the rele of law. I don't feel angry at them. i feel sorry and stunned at how wrong their perception of reality is.

People are forgetting about 1 very important things: GENTRIFICATION!!!!!! He won due to mass and advance gentrification. WYT people ( who could care less about the culture or people of an area) all over the country have moved into urban areas in droves over the last two and three years specifically as I keep saying to dilute the black and brown vote!!! Until people start realizing that gentrification is more than just trying to make an area hip or fun to visit or full of new restaurants and businesses we won’t win there again. Until people realize the underlying impact of gentrification we will never see the wins in those areas ever again. I have people moving into my mother’s historically predominantly black neighborhood in Florida Proudly waving their Trump flags over the last two years. Gentrification is it just about cleaning up an area and bringing restaurants it’s about devaluing the people who live there and creating Republican magnets. What further happens is the new homes sell for hundreds of thousands ( overpriced) resulting in rises in the home taxes and insurance so high that the people who grew up there can no longer afford it and then they move. There homes are then torn down and in its place 2 more expensive homes are built. So the problem just gets worse for the black and brown residents. Someone needs to sit down and figure out how to reverse this. Yrs ago the Wyt people or those who did not want to live among blacks or poor people moved to the suburbs. Now they have figured out how to dilute our votes and it’s called gentrification!!! They don’t want us living in what they say is their neighborhood but they sure don’t mind moving into black or brown areas to disrupt.
