Late to the party, but.. Amp wise you can split the natural guitar sound (albeit with cosm effects) and the pcm generated sounds. For the straight cosm sounds any guitar amp will be fine, however for the pcm sounds depending on what sound you have selected a Guitar Amp may or may not be suitable. For instance although a violin sound would probably be fine a deep piano, organ or synth sound would probably not sound so good. Ideally you would send the Guitar output of the unit till your normal Amp (line 6 spider etc) and the pcm output to a keyboard Amp or straight to pa. Hope that makes sense

As usual, awesome playing! At about 0:45 Alex says the audio from the computer is "coming back in here" the camera then shows the GR- 55. Where does the audio come back in? There are no inputs except the GK input and Midi. Thanks for any help.

it would also be interesting to learn the common keyboard/piano voicings of chords on the guitar so that it becomes seamless to distinguish between the track being developed by guitar or keyboard any links on that anyone ???????

Logic as the DAW for sure. The bass sound could be something from Massive by Native Instruments.

Do you absolutley need the gk3 in order to use the gr 55? I just ordered this today and i got the gk3 just im case
@troublesomecorsair8 жыл бұрын
+Max Cruz Yes. The only way into the GR-55 is through a 13-pin pickup like the GK3.

What model of guitar is that. I was thinking of buying a Godin xtsa Koa top model to use with my GR-55, would that be better then to use the Roland GC-1?

Hello! I have a godin spectrum SA, I am from Argentina, I buy a Roland GR-55. that amp should buy to play live and direct? not buy that amp!! I need something versatile! that sounds real good, crisp, undistorted sound .... to sound good, a violin, a flute, an acoustic guitar, piano, electric guitar, bells ... etc.
