Gates laboratory was designed for the shadow armor. There is absolutely no reason for them to open up this level to you after you beat the first four Mavericks, but they do because they want you to see that it’s virtually impossible for you to complete it if you don’t have enough Items and weapons accumulated. Once you have the shadow armor, this stage is a cinch up until the second part where you have to get over the “leap of faith“. There are some people who know how to cheat and hack their way past that part, but it’s really unfair that you would work your way into the shadow armor just to be stopped by the leap of faith. you don’t know that you need the hyper dash and jumper parts. Fortunately: you can use the blade armor to get past Gates laboratory, one and two. Once you beat those two parts, you can use the shadow armor to complete the boss rush and defeat Sigma. The shadow armor is excellent against the bosses and easily allows you to defeat sigma.

I used shadow armor for this stage once but I never got past the acid rain section because I didn’t have the right parts and I thought i was permanently stuck at that stage even with shadow armor. That was a year ago. A week later, I somehow get through the ordeal with Ultimate Armor. I’m a scrub.

Actually there is no option on any emulator for graphics to look like this, I use an upscaling filter while encoding the footage, to do so you need AviSynth skills and a powerfull enough PC.

Yes, but it can be glitched by hitting him before he starts moving. Afterwards his invincibility frames are glitched and gets hit every frame.

Yup, it because different than other armors, the charge goes to his Slash. Meanwhile the other armors goes to his beam That's why it broken, and get nerf by not having air dash & Boss ability
