So after role playing through a couple of resets and timelines, they actually embrace that personality as their real one? Outstanding!! But now I'm picturing more or less another comic dub which does the same story, but most, if not all the monsters, or perhaps just the main ones come together as friends and do it for fun, and like this video, they genuinely adopt those personalities and drives.

tbh there is a reason why horrortale does exist in canon wise if I remember it take place after a neutral run where I guess Frisk killed some monsters or never befriended undyne causing her to revolt against toriel

So it went like this: Somehow Chara revived and Frisk commited die Toriel suddenly realized that Asgore's actions were correct,so she came back,but Asgore went to the ruins to find her Mettaton suddenly had interaction problems and Napstablook gained a lot of self-esteem Sans and Papyrus (the comic) Monster Kid ran away from his parents to come live with Asgore and Toriel,while Asriel ran to MK's Muffet decided to become a bartender and moved to Snowdin because she felt too hot in Hotland,and Grillby moved to Hotland because he felt uncomfortable in Snowdin Undyne poked Alphys's eye out accidentally,but Alphys wanted to be as tough as her,and Undyne wanted to take a break from Royal Captain,so they switched jobs,and Alphys placed her eye in Undyne's empty eyesocket Before Alphys switched jobs,she wanted to surprise Asgore,so she tried the Determination on a cat,but it went missing,and suddenly a bunch of derpy-looking flowers appeared and made their own village.
