Rolex Daytona White Gold Review (116509)

I just bought this watch 116509 (new) with the Panda (grey) dial. I'm immediately taking it to Rolex to change to this blue dial before ever wearing the watch. (This was my plan at purchase). These white gold Daytona's are quite hard to find, and the blue is the most sought after-for good reason.

I owe blue and grey dial Daytona at once in year 2021. After I obtained them, I forgot to wear the Hulk or the Batman immediately. They brought me the best comfortable in my Rolex collection. Don’t blink your eyes if you have chance to have one of them. By the way, the Green Daytona is also pretty, just not my style. I prefer the stealth.

There is an aesthetic differentiator to this watch vs. the green dial 116508 and the stainless models that no one has discussed! This unique blue dial model has a symmetrical case and the lugs curve down with feet, JUST LIKE THE NEW 2023 Daytonas! It’s as though Rolex was testing the new case design with the release of this watch. The green dial version and the stainless models have smaller right side lugs and a flat case back.

I like the idea of having a rare Daytona. And it’s a blue dial. Cherry on the sundae. It’s such a popular model but I see the various models quite a bit. I’ve never seen this one in the wild.

All those models must be with ceramic bezel otherwise all those numbers in bezel disappears during wearing

I would love to own one. Many that I have seen on the grey market seemed pretty scratched up. I understand this is a watch that you have to really baby because of the softness of the metal. I guess you just have to know that going in.

I sold my Batman and I highly regret it. I did buy the 116519ln or white gold with ceramic bezel. I’m too scared of scratching the gold bezel . Mine is the ghost. I still mis my Batman but I wear my sub mist of the time
