Rolex GMT Master II PEPSI (I got the call from the AD!)

I Got the call from the rolex AD for a new Rolex GMT Master II pepsi. Here is our over night trip to vegas to go pick it up.

I've been there. That's at Ceaser Palace. Went there for Tourneau . Could not find it, so went into Rolex and asked. Already have my Rolex's was looking for JLC Master. As that a hotel in the Marriot chain? Been to Vegas many times. Twice a year. But good for you.

Holy moly.. That's a long drive, but I bet it's well worth it. My AD texted me that they might able to allocate one last week, but told me that they were not able to get one this time. I guess I'll just suck it up and pay 4% raise next year if they ever come through.

Congrats !! One of my favorites (I have it on oyster, also from AD) I visited Las Vegas for the formula 1 event back in the beginning of November .. always blown away by the forum shops (and all the other shopping there) … anyway I was really surprised and please to hear from all the ADs there that they do sell to non locals ! They basically vetted me a bit to see I’m a true collector and so on, and after that just told me that once they call I’ve got 5 business days to make it there and can only buy in person no wire no credit over phone and ship etc.. I said even better, a reason to come for a Vegas trip just the way you did here !! Congrats again, you’re going to love it more and more as the honeymoon phases never really ends with this one you’ll see !!

Do you have any pointers I've been to 5 different AD's in Miami/Fort/Palm Beach area for a Batman Out of the 5 of them I feel confident in 3 of them. 2 of them kept it a buck with me, they literally told me what everybody been saying on the forums/Web/youtube. That there's no actual waitlist, they go by buying history. They said if somebody has bought 5 watches they're more likely to get a watch. Compare to somebody like me who just walked in with no history at all. My dream watch is a Pepsi on jubilee, but after doing all my research I do not believe they will ever sell me a Pepsi. So I'm just thinking about throwing in the towel and just go to the Gray market. My purpose behind the watch is to daily it and hand it down when I pass.

I have a pretty good relationship with my AD and my sales rep, she got me 5 pieces in the last 2 years, I went to give her a box of chocolates as a thank you little detail and she asked me if I had ever seen/manipulated a day date 40, I said no and she went to the vault and got one out along with a full gold Daytona, just like yourself I had my 41mm sub date on but my god! Those things are HEAVY, such cool pieces for sure, I want to get a steel Daytona or a Pepsi next, hopefully in a couple months!

That's how you do it. Build a relationship. Be polite, be patient. A little token of appreciation after the sale and at Xmas is a good idea. I've got to try on a double red sub from the vault. My guy put a rose gold Sky dweller on my and took me outside to see the amazing sunburst chocolate dial in the sun. Gorgeous piece.

Happy for the guy but this is the issue I have with Rolex selling through AD. They are selling a watch to a guy that has a 9 hour drive meaning he isn't local. I am sure they had local customers that would have purchased this watch. Rolex should go the Grand Seiko way and open online Boutiques. Ditch the AD.

@@ivanrvzo1022 Go to your local A.D, meet a couple salesman and build a relationship. Stop in monthly and talk watches. Never be pushy or impatient and it ill eventually happen. Good luck to you. One piece of advice, if you are celebrating a milestone. 30, 40, 50th birthday. Graduating college. Birth of a child that you might hand the watch down to some day should get priority. Mine was 50th b-day

It’s likely he bought that carrier and another watch or 2 (non-Rolex) before hand .. additionally go read my comment, Vegas ADs (down at the strip at least) sells mostly to tourists .. it’s just a bit of a process and a few Guidelines but keep in mind this Vegas situation is a very unique one. Mostly anywhere else (in the US at least) it won’t ever be this way.. even with the secondary market coming down to a lot lower pricing
