Have that model, but a Z series without the lug holes. My daily beater, and still keeps remarkable time.

Would way rather have a sea dweller than a sub
@kloschuessel773 Жыл бұрын
I think the 14060 is the cooler choice from that period But obviously would a sea dweller be better than a normal date sub

Does the watch work? the seconds hand is not moving and you have been moving it around quite a bit and the crown is screwed in.
@georgefotiadis37872 жыл бұрын
I dont know why some people choose a sub 14060 between a sea dweller 16600 when they are at the same price

Hi Tim, I just bought this watch, and there is no lume ??? Any ideas ? Thanks Tim
@crombiedg2 жыл бұрын
You’ll have tritium dial which will all have gone by now. One in video has has replacement inserts which explains why the lume is present. Hope that helps

This has been a bulletproof (watch) reference for 20 years and I wear the shit out of it.

Have this reference with a “Swiss” dial and service crystal. Love it. Perfect daily driver.

I put mine on a new Glidelock oyster bracelet, now its perfect. The old bracelet and clasp are just inferior. Now it looks solid and hefty

Where do you get a glidelock oyster bracelet?
@rogerb19642 жыл бұрын
@@ShadowJ20 Off a 6 digit submariner or buy it online. 97200 is the reference from Rolex

Had the 116600 went back to this model. Less bling . No misaligned end links and date window is positioned properly. Just need the glide lock. Thanks roger for the ref number

@@Leftystrat makes the whole watch feel more substantial. I used the bracelet of my no date since I wear that on a rubber strap anyway. Hope you got your 16600 “upgraded” too.

I can understand the replacement bezel for potential damage like a deep gauge but why both hands? Now the hands & dial are out of sync with continuity. Seems strange for a relatively young watch to change hands & would Rolex do this in a service without swapping out the dial too if there had been water damage?? Personally I would not buy this for the swapped hands & hence I think it reflects in the asking price which I've seen advertised at $10.500
@dr.raymond43372 жыл бұрын
Agree with you, but this is SOP for Rolex to replace Tritium hands with updated Luminova or Super Luminova hands. As they feel flaking (common on the Tritium hands) can get into the movement and cause damage. They did it to my Submariner at NC and I was appreciative until I knew better.
@closer712 жыл бұрын
Agreed. If you permit replacement of the hands, you have to spring for a new dial as well.

As it should be. When people bought this watch they were not thinking about resale value and flipping.
