ROLI Airwave is designed to work with ROLI instruments and is compatible with ROLI Piano M, Seaboard 2, and Seaboard M. It will also work with LUMI Keys and older generations of Seaboard, excluding Seaboard Grand.

Hey Gil, good question. ROLI Airwave doesn't need to be in front of your computer screen - only in front of your Piano M or Seaboard to be able to accurately track your hand movements and gestures.

You will need an iOS or Android device to use the ROLI Learn app. However, you can use the Piano M as an ordinary MIDI Controller in your DAW.

The underlying engine to the software shown is Equator,L. Roland says it will work with Eq2 immediately, as the Airwave translates gestures into MIDI CCs, and he expects a version of Equator with tighter visual integration of the new features in due course.

Yep! By default, Airwave only works with Airwave sounds. In the future, Airwave will have the ability to control all sounds and effects for an even more intuitive music-making experience.

Congrats! The Lumi rebranding and Airwave definitelly bring some new energy back. I wish one day Seaboard M can use the learn app as well, I konwo it's more producer focused but fixing my gesture with mini keys would be nice.
