It looks like a fun solo or 2 player, but I'm not sure about 3 or 4 players... player interaction seems more or less limited to the idea gathering. And if each player decreases time after his turn, you'll most likely end up having only 2 or 3 turns in the whole game - or does it work differently?
@rahdo4 жыл бұрын
there's simply not enough time to get the project done out of the gate. as the game progresses, you're constantly looking for ways to claw back schedule, so the game definitely last longer than it first appears. but it's true that the higher the player count, the fewer total turns any one player will take.

At 7:20, you mention needing 2 pairs or 3 pairs of dice to resolve the problems. I believe you mean A PAIR or THREE OF A KIND.

At 13:30 you mentioned mirroring a set. Is this correct? Or is it no mirroring?
@mattrobinson94234 жыл бұрын
Mirroring is not allowed. To shoot a scene, the crew dice on set can be in any rotation but can't be mirrored.
@rahdo4 жыл бұрын
the designer has updated the rules and mirroring is allowed (as well as using VFX on not set actions as a wild) :)

Hi there, a bit late to the party but this game looks awesome! Is there any way to pnp it since no one got their copy yet?

not sure, but you could ask at the publisher's website :) www.keenbean.studio/contact.html

@21:35 you cheated you played the sound guy on the scene rather than production design, and then used that to up your quality

you didn't turn on the klingon subtitles like Richard said at the start of the video

So how does it work with 2 players? Do you still just roll 6 dices and just split them? Or take turns rolling dices? Or roll the 6 dices and decide together how to use them? If so, basically the only difference between solo and multiplayer would be the ideas both players have?
@rahdo3 жыл бұрын
yeah, the main co-op element of the game is the meetings, and setting dice up to be used on the next player's turn :)

Do you know if that's the final board art? Seems like it could at least do with some splashes of color as it looks pretty sparse.
@rahdo4 жыл бұрын
you might want to check the kickstarter page. i crank my contrast up pretty high to get the black background (hiding all of the imperfections in my table top) which does wash out bright areas a bit... :)

We have tried variations on the board art with splashes of color, but it ended up reducing visibility on the worker placement spots. It's definitely a possibility though if I can find a way to do it that doesn't interfere with gameplay! One thing that's nice about this version is that it fills up with color as you add set pieces and scene cards. But I hear you on that!
@Atlas-FM84 жыл бұрын
Malachi Rempen my first thought was have the center of the board be an aerial view of a studio lot and then to make the work spaces more legible you could have them placed on the rooftops of their respective buildings. Giving you a natural border for their text and placement spots so they read as separate from the rest of the board. Less laboriously, just adding a cork board color and texture under the scenes in progress section would help or just doing some neutral solid color in the center of the board. Like you did in the backgrounds of the player boards. Again borders could be your friend here in terms of separating important information and worker spaces from the rest of the board. You could have worker space info written as if it were on signs? Might be worth looking at other worker placement games to see how they do it like viticulture, the gallerist, lords of Waterdeep, Champions of Midgard, etc. Could give you some good ideas.

@@Atlas-FM8 Thanks! Great ideas. Yes, I have looked at other worker placement games of course, but somehow all my own designs just end up looking busy. The original intention was exactly as you say, to look like a top-down back lot. Couldn't quite crack that design though. I'll keep at it, maybe I'll find a way.

Was waiting for this video since you mentioned it in one of your roundups, because it sounded really up my ally! And what do you say? Already backed it. Unfortunately I didn't get a notification for this game (or for Dollars to Donuts) - it neither shows up in my emails nor my KZbin timeline. I only noticed because of the patreon news. Might want to check that out. Especially as you can vote daily(!!!) for which upgrades the game gets!

There is a probability to keep rolling no actors. The dice can kill you. KS Campaign page at 40% from top says 148x37 for the board, but that 1 is not a 1 but a (.
@rahdo4 жыл бұрын
you can always intern and use ideas. if you don't roll 'em, you gotta find clever solutions with what you do get :)
