If you have Oil Bound distemper then its my personal suggestion go with OBD only. Before paint just fill your all the cracks with wall care putty and rub it gently with 220 No. send paper.

Water based primer hi use karen kyonki appka pehle se plastic paint kiya hua hai. Note: Water based paint ke upar oil paint ya primer kar sakte hai. Par oil ke upar water based paint ya primer use nahi kar sakte. Maine direct paint nahi kiya hai.... Pehle maine wall care putty se sare crack bhar diye the. Phie 120 No. sand paper se acche se rub kiya tha. Agar aap putty karte hai to phir primer karne ki jarurat nahi padti (Wall care putty ke upar bhi likha hota hai). First of all sorry for the late reply. You can use any plastic tub or big size bucket in place of tray. But its my personal suggestion if you are a beginner then you will have to buy tray because its structure is very user friendly and with the help of tray you will easily do a good whitewash.

"Cloth roller" is used for 1st coat and for 2nd coat you will have to use "form roller".
