Roller skating for the first time ever!

OMG I loved roller skating when I was young. It was super popular in the ancient 80s when I was a kid. Started at 4 years old and was still at it until around 11 or 12. Then, in my early 30s the local rink was doing $5 skating on Sundays. My husband and I were always looking for cheap, fun things to do so we went a few times. The ankles of a 12 year old and those of a 32 year old are not the same! I had also developed a fear of falling and killing myself. 🤭🤭🤭🤭 I used to even wear the skates to the slick tile bathroom and snack bar at the rink.

I loved your video. I grew up roller skating. There was a roller skating ring not far from me where I lived so I went all the time. I even met my husband there.

You did a great job filming Adam... it's never easy when there's so many people moving around and you have to try to avoid filming others who may not want to appear on the video! It's like trying to record your own child's dance performance without catching any of the others - really hard... I'm a teacher and it's the bane of my life... the paper trail over here in Australia for video consent is difficult... for a 3minute assembly performance hahaha... You did an amazing job and the girls were awesome ! Always a bonus to see Julie and the lovely Rogine ( i just totally botched his name... apologies!)... and the bgm was perfect !!

Best way to learn to roller skate is in the grass. It really works but don’t buy expensive skates

I think ice skating is easier because it's easier to turn. But that's probably because I learned to ice skate first.
