This looks like the funnest session ever. I'm 37 years old and I got back in to Blading after a 15 year hiatus. I have been blading again for about 2 and 1/2 years . I feel I am getting a little bit better not as good as I was back in the day but it doesn't matter cuz it is a funnest thing in the world.

Rolling is thriving nowadays like I haven't seen since the big boom in the 90's. I can tell you from an NYC point of view that the scene is prospering here as well. It's the 2nd coming! It's a beautiful thing! I'm in my 40s, haven't bladed in over a decade but I'm about to get me some new skates!

And do all bearings they sell fit all wheel sizes? I ordered a set of abec9 bearings since my skates that I just ordered only come with 5's. I'd like to order some other stuff to get a little more custom and replace parts when needed.

Hahahah .. I hadn't skated since about 2009, went for two or three short handrail sessions by myself in 2020, about three more park sessions in early 2021 and then figured I could go keep up with the local pros at our country's biggest annual event, at a big skate park. Ended up limping away with a new black and blue C-cup titty hip and about three cracked ribs. To be fair, they over-waxed the main handrail and I was bombing it with speed thinking that my outdated Razors Genesys L.E anti-rockers would be slower than everybody else. Kept slipping out mid-rail and straight up eating concrete/rail. Only landed about 6 solid tricks that day. Hahahah! And when you're 31, shit takes months to heal!

@@prometheusofplanetx6176 You’ll get back your skills pretty fast, just need to progressively rebuild the basics without rushing. I got back at blading at 43, took me 6 months to feel really confident. After a year I started to learn new tricks.

@@cfronin I was actually doing surprisingly well to get back on track from where I left off as a 19 year old. It was that skate comp that stripped all confidence away from me. Been skating a small practice rail at home for the last two days, trying to build myself up again and also re-learning how to skate flat for the first time since I can even remember. As long as I'm having fun, I skate better. Got a serious competitive streak I've gottah keep in check, because it's just unrealistic when you're just getting back into skating and haven't been consistent. Before this week, hadn't skated for a couple months due to bad weather. No more excuses now. Sun is shining! Thanks for the advice brodog! Don't forget to stretch after warming up. (Cold Muscle Fibre doesn't stretch, it tears). 😁
